i doubt she is making any money at all out of it. Jesse Martin didnt, in fact owed a lot at the end of it, well owed his mum.Do you Actualy own a boat MichaelR? if you do then you would understand how much this trip would cost. And maybe Ewan Mcgregor might be a little better well known before he started his trips.I think you should read lionheart by Jesse Martin then you can see how much money is in it.Go for it Jessica.
Sleek1, yes I do, not much of a boat by some standards, just an old Top Hat, but at least I'm on the water, not that I get your point. You too seem to mistake my motives.... I never said she shouldn't go, I never said she couldn't do it and I never said that she was foolish.... all I said was that she should share the wealth and the knowlege she gains from the journey.
If you read all my posts I said she should go, that with the right planning and headspace she'll go all the way without a hitch, and she's proving it.
Lionheart... great read... so Jesse Martin didn't make any money out of the publishing? Come on.... All I am saying is that I hope Jessica puts back something into the community that is so avidly supporting her with both funds and encouragement. That's all.... nothing more, nothing less.
"2300nm till we pass under The Cape of Good Hope" so says her blog... She's doing it in style and has announced her book already, due out in 2010.... Makes one think that she's perhaps the cash cow for a lot of people......
