I couldn't imagine owning an electric powered yacht unless it had a big generator, which in turn would make it a diesel-electric yacht.

When your out cruising you want the security of being able to race home in any weather should something go wrong.

On Moreton Bay, especially during the winter months, you can almost bank on having to motor to and from Tangalooma a few times so you'd need at least 7 hours range at hull speed.

So, that Vagabond is a nice boat, it's just a shame that the current owners wasted all that money on removing the engine and replacing it with a highly dubious propulsion system that 99% of sailors wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

Thus the purchase price needs to reflect that it is an odd ball boat (in this market) with no engine, because that's what you'll encounter when you go to sell it.
