Finally got out on the 9'10" today. Conditions were far from ideal, but I just couldn't wait any longer.

Surf was about 3 foot, onshore, tide running out with some sucky sections. Pretty much everything you don't want for your first surf on a board that is nearly 10 feet. That said, the upshot i took away from the session is that despite the rubbish conditions, the board still performed beautifully!! The low swing weight made it very easy to get some snappy turns in. In fact the low weight of this board meant that any input at all reaped instant feedback. The bigger sets were crumbling and closing out. That gave me an opportunity to try foam climbs, which it handled quite nicely.

Hoping to get an early in at the Fairy Bower tomorrow in some nice smooth conditions. Stay tuned

Success!!!! Had a ripper of a session with Mick and a couple of the boys on our Surefire sticks.
Was 3-4ft and very nice conditions. The 9'10" put large smiles on my face

Nice vid, looks like some fun waves with a good crew
I really like some of the footage when you had the camera while you were surfing. It seems to cut off some of your moves though.
Is that a chest mount? I have been looking for a way to capture some of my surfs and only have a paddle mount, but it makes me sick watching it too much movement.
I'm keen to get some more mounts to explore some different angles. What do you find best Zeusman?

That was a mouth mount. I have a chest mount, which I prefer, that I intended on using that day. When we got to the car park I looked through my boot(A Man Look) and couldn't find it and went with the mouth one. When I got home and unpacked I found the chest mount sitting just behind my wettie bucket..... In the boot.....
