Ummmm, yeah I like it ... duh, it's fricken unreal.

Imagine how many sweet barrels you would have made if all those kooks weren't always in the way and ruining your line?

Great vid Keahi,
good to see you survived the drop in,
do you cop any grief from the solid crew being the only one out on a sup?
Cheers,
Camo.

camo- don't cop too much, I wait for my turn and let the shortboarders have their waves plus there aren't as many people when you take off behind the rocks. Was getting a couple hoots from some of them

dogman- The funny thing is I did it at Firsties the next day when it was heaps smaller. Always the way it woks. haha

Keahi you really rip sorry to hear you trashed your board that sucks, but at least you had awesome fun doing it!

After watching that vid a few times! and other vids from the Goldie and NSW, I realise how few people really get to OG and rubs OG off all maps!

We have crap waves but at least we have crap waves to ourselves lol!

Young bloke-you are SO lucky to have waves like that-usual for us in Sydney on the beachies is a coupla' seconds before it shuts down. Good surfing.

Surfing on SUP boards (like Keahis in the vid) seems to be converging with short board style surfing-I know this is a debate which has been aired here and on other fora and don't want to reignite and diverge from the thread-this may be as a result of proficient short board surfers getting into SUP, dunno'-just an observation.

Great stuff. I too am inspired by the powered kick outs at the end. No more falling off at the end of a ride for me.

Did you actually get to clobber anybody? While I sympathise with the guys paddling for the face I have never seen so much traffic. You did well to avoid them but keep riding.

Didn't actually write the board off. I creased/split the tail open so its in surgery at the moment and I should get it back soonish.

Don't ever really hit anyone. Have come close a few times but I'm used to the crowds and most of the people out there know what they're doing and how to get out of the way. Bit different when its smaller and you get the kook factor though

good to see some well shot video for a change! the Use of a tripod makes the footage so much more watchable. Obviously a nice camera used too - but thats secondary to stabilising the shot.

Nice riding! - whats with all the crew paddling back out through the wave? that large wave was a classic slalom run through the crowd. .. that can ruin your flow. But you nailed it.

sweet!

there were probably 300 in the water at noosa that day with most of them non local, that session could be ridden from the takeoff behind the boiling pot through to the surf club on the main beach,if you had the speed to shoot first point, the sand was incredible but its gone now.keahi was raised on noosa waves and has got it sussed.that day he had shortboarders calling him on to the sets and hooting him big time.
well shot vid chris and well surfed keahi.

Belting vid.

I always get nervous on my 11'6" bohemoth when there are even just a few people around. A naish to the head would be the end for most people!

Great control there. made it look easy.
