awesome effort by everyone ,well done

Dj your need casso's sucker cam next time to catch all the action so you don't have to stop all the time.

Thanks Craig.. A remote wireless trigger on the paddle would be good.. Who knows what the future will bring us..

There were times that it was like our big down-winder at the Mambo last year.. Wasn't that great.

Remember the bits where it was just too rough to stand and the odd big ones rolled past us... Awesome fun..

Just looking back at this pic makes me realize the importance of being clearly visible.

I was looking back for Christian because I was sure he was behind me but I could not see him.. He had fallen in and his white board could not be seen against the whitecaps.

It was only when he climbed back on with his red shirt that I could just see him.. It might end up like those roadside workers that wear day glow vests so they can be seen.

Just a thought...btw.. Can you see him in this pic.

I'm also thinking about orange or red contact (like the stuff you cover books with) for the face of the paddle blade and you could just peel it off after.

Yeh it certainly bought back memories ,but that looks a wee bit more rougher than what we experimented with

I'm sure your already thinking of a bigger Downwinder at this yr's Mambo after that effort

Lets hope what we started last yr can turn into a annual event and we can get more paddlers this yr
