It was good to see the sunshine. All up it was a great day, good to see a big turn out.

Camo, you should take your board down to OKE in Braeside. I'm sure they will fix it for you. They've done some excellent repairs on my board in the past.

Thanks for the recommendations on board repair Tux and Oliver but I've got
it in a shop at the moment and will wait to see what they can do.

It was nice to meet you Rod.. Also Peter, Sheryl, Greg, Ronnie, Dave, Brendan, Cam.. Jonathan, Peter (and his dog) and also Rich and Phill and his girls that came all the way from the west coast.. and also those who I forgot to mention.

Thanks to Naish for sending boards.. Also Andrew for all the PSH boards as well as those QuickBlade paddles that some of were still prototypes I think.. Also Matty for the new Bonga and McTavish boards.. and Luke, Mike and the guys at SHQ for making it all happen.

Imagine how big these demo days will be in more Summer'ish type weather.

I had many people say to me how impressed they were with the new Mana boards.. also the 9'6" and 10'6" PSH were very popular.

I was impressed with the new QuickBlade race paddle and I look forward to Kialoa's new race paddle (coming soon).. The new skinny QB surf paddle looked very good also.

Those who dared to take to big 14' Naish weapon into the surf soon found out it's not a board for playing on the waves.. even though big wave Dave made it look possable.

I'm sure SHQ have more of these demo days planed for the future so I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone again then.. if not sooner on the water.

Actually Muzza brought down the new Bonga. Muz probably isn't on here but thanks for getting involved. GSI aren't doing Soutpoint anymore as far as I know.

Thanks to Luke for organising the demo day in particular, but also huge thanks to SHQ in general for all the support they give to board sports. They definitely go the extra mile in terms of making demo gear available.

You can read all the reviews and opinions you like but nothing compares to actually trying gear out in the conditions you want to ride in.
