Took my 11' NSP trolling in Currimundi ck today. 2 Flathead 1 bream
My set up is similar to Olivers www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=68213
except I have my milk crate held down by a tie down strap around the whole board.
I have my crate behind me, as I am going to put a lid on it, to use as a seat.

I scored my first flathead (60cm) after about 5 minutes. I hadn't really thought about the landing process and did a one arm holding the rod, one arm trying to paddle to the bank. It would have looked totally ridiculous.
Just as I got to the bank I lost the fish, but as I was going to let it go, it didn't really matter.
The next two fish I knelt down for the landing process - much better. When the lid is fitted I will be able to sit down for the landing.

The bream was 35cm and was awesome on light tackle. Did some slow water sking!!!
I hooked it near a couple of guys in a tinny, the looks on their faces was priceless especially went I threw it back in. I did hold it up for them to see it.( I had to show someone)

You did well, I'm going to go out again tomorrow. Landing them is a bit tricky. First I put my paddle in the holder mounted on the milk crate, grab the rod, reel the fish in and try to lift the fish out of the water and put it straight in the bucket that sits inside the milk crate then close the lid on it. It's a bit fiddly but I haven't lost one yet.
