you fellas are so gullible , a TV show and you think you got all the info. its dramatized so people watch it...and its about surf life saving.... draw your own conclusions why they rescued her!

good for her for giving it a go, my g/f had same abilites starting off and didnt need a helicopter or a tv show to recue her in far larger swell and more wind...

How do you think Debbie Vickers felt when she was called a "Toilet", "Slack ar5e moll", "Chicks don't surf" they yelled at her - but she showed em.

I would rather see the lifesavers on a SUP. You get such a better vantage point up the for spotting things. If the sh#t ever hit the fan the paddle is expendible and they would be back to saving a life on a well-proportioned board. If I was still a lifesaver I would be giving one a go.

Thanks Everyone for all your opinions and feedback - I'm truly passionate about the sport and appreciate all the criticism both good and bad. Since it aired I've been out on the water everyday gaining surf and ocean knowledge training. I love getting out there and the most extreme conditions are what drive me…I realise though that I have a lot of learning to do. Im no surf expert yet but if you want to learn how to do Yoga on a Paddleboard Hit me up YEWW:) Charlotte

Did anyone catch that last episode of Bondi Rescue with the yoga SUP girl on it? Is it me or did that not do anything for SUP? I think we came off more kooky than usual ...

I love your part about "is it me or did that not do anything for SUP"???

are we part of a crazy church cult? are we trying to sell ourselves like cheap hookers??

man if you look at it from the "getting new people into the sport" angle then 99% of the crew that SUP are bad publicity.

I think having a chick doing something different on a SUP is a great way to get people into it, especially chicks.

OK she might have made a small mistake (which you learn from pretty quick) but if you watch the episode, she actually stayed quite calm and just waited for assistance.

theres been plenty of incidents shown in the media where the person in question has panicked or dramatised the situation, i think for a predominately flat water paddler, she did pretty good, and showed far more experience then others ever would.

get off this bloody forum and go paddling...

Couldnt have said it better....

Ahh Chivalry is not dead! Well done Gents for coming to the ladies defence. Actually my point was that much of the time media exposure to our sport is negative or cast in a 'kooky' light, as was this little gem from channel TEN. I thought the use of grabs and sound bites just didn't do SUP any favours ... But what should I expect! No offence to Charolette, well done to her and all her good work, sounds like she is getting plenty of advice and coaching. I look forward to seeing her rip in the near future and put the rest of us kooks to shame!

Welcome Charlotte. Got a board sponsor yet ? I hear Coreban are looking for exposure. Come on Coreban reps if you are bright you will get Charlotte on board asap. Think Sunrise morning show and Bondi Rescue - the exposure is there and could you find a better ambassador ? Keep posting Charlotte

They way she was holding the Sunny King paddle in camera shot like a pro, surely Nick King is already taking care of her.

Well Charlotte must be doing something right, I seen her a few times on my way out teaching school kids in the pissing down rain down gunnamatta/cronulla and there all pretty stoked. Most kids would use rain as an excuse to play playstation. Not sure how thats kooky.
