Hey mate, yeah just moved out here, staying in Hastings, had a couple fun sessions at TA, and got Harding road, just down from the port in Napier pretty good last week, quite a narrow swell window for some of these spots, but when the stars align I suspect that there is some absolute gems around. Had a look at stingray bay about a month back, tide was a touch low and it looked like a cheese grater on the rocks.
Waimarama can be fun too, and I've heard of a secret spot around from the reef at the end of Clifton road in TA, heading towards the cape, 30+ walk thru a farm.
Thanks google earth!
You full time in oz then?

G'day Ted, just moved up to the Bay from Wellington, talk about a massive change.
The Bay is off the hook.
Plenty more sheep to chase too, gotta love that coastal lamb
You from these parts then?
Nice move. I grew up on an orchard in Eskdale and spent many years combing every beach in the bay looking for waves. Where are you based? You have so many nice options around that area. I used to love the river mouths, Te Awanga when it was on and spent a fair bit of time at Cray Bay - my uncle owns a nice farm (with loads of sheep) just a short walk from there.
