I do that, too. The only thing I tie and untie is the end of the line that goes to the back footstrap.
Open weave kite line, or any weaved line, of course, will fray on the end if you don't tape it or cauterize it or superglue it. Coated kite line can be cut with a razor blade or sharp knife or wire cutter without fraying.

I burn the ends of all my line before I use it to prevent fraying. Another reason I chose a larger diameter line was so I could untie the line with ease. Have fun on the water today. I'm at work today, so no foiling for me. Tomorrow looks windy, and will get some tow in.
