I will try my phone in a waterproof bag.
Thanks for advice and information.

Here's the alternative to GPSlogit, if you can't find a copy.
www.windsporttracker.com

Not sure if that's still in playstore as data is down here.

Hi decrepit,
Same mind, actually I found it and downloaded it.
Used it on my way home thru my e-scooter for trial already.
The app impressed me by the boss gave feedback to reviwers.

Just be aware, that phone antennas are typically small, so it's important to give them the best sky view possible. Anything wet and absorbent over them, will kill the signal. High on the upper arm facing slightly away from the body, is good, as when sailing, the phone will be facing the sky. On the head is the best, but makes it hard to read the ap.

+1 for the app. Kind of weird on the foil though where you can hear everything because of the quiet. Took me a while to figure out that no one was yelling at me, it was just the app calling out the speed every so often.

My current phone doesn't have enough space to download the App it's old with only 16GB storage. Can I just buy any cheap phone, download the App and just use it for on water feedback? I'm morbidly fascinated to know how little planing I do in this crappy winter wind..

Thanks. Mine works with covid apps. I just don't have any space left!
I'll check it out.

You could transfer all your file out from your phone to get storage.
Or buy a cheap smartphone to download the app.
I always think speed monior and filming are important, otherwise how do I know where am I and how about my position, posture?
If I can, but not easy.

It is sensible to use a cheap smartphone, you wouldn't want to flood a new iPhone or Samsung
