The thing I don't like about the surf lock is that everyone knows where your key is.
How secure are they?
If someone had bolt cutters and a battery grinder it would take them little effort to get to your key.

They're pretty hard to get into. real estate agents use them to hold house keys when they are doing open for inspections. They just leave them attached to the gas meter.
I also think that if somone stated using a grinder in Elwood somone passing by would think it's pretty strange and take note.
