i have just installed the latest software onto my lap top but when i go to see results in browser it opens up in word pad , any suggestions on how to fix it , using windows 8 .

works fine on my desktop compt , been using it for a while now ,

If you click on any other html file, what does it open in? If it opens in wordpad, you need to change the "open with" setting. I think it's some where in preferences. I only have windows seven on another machine, I'll see if I can figure it out there.
Back later if I have anyluck

yep, in windows 7 it's called "Set Associations" you may need to search for it, it doesn't seem to be in any menu I could see.
But I changed .html from firefox to wordpad, and "open in browser", opened wordpad instead. i then changed it back to firefox.
If firefox isn't your browser of choice, just set it to what you use.

Very strange that .html was set to open in wordpad though.
Could it be a battery save device as browsers are fairly resource intensive?

@boardsurfr. I tried GPSSpeedreader.jar tonight. Love it. Its really simple and quick look. It works out of the box on my Mint Linux 19.x system. Thanks for the release

Jn !, did you find both GPSresults and GPSAR stopped working well after 18.3? GPSResults no longer does alphas, and GPSAR, can't be registered. I know what it is in GPSAR it's the way the MAC address is reported to get the machine number, but I couldn't work out the GPSResults problem, probably something to do with the wine version I guess

I didn't notice that. I'll have a look at my GPS data from Saturday.
