We had an 18 to 23 kt WSW to SW today. The sailing was very good. We launched from the Spit and sailed a patch of glass between the islands. We will do the same on Wednesday if the current forecast holds

But today the lake level came up 20cm, the air was stinky, the weed was draggy, and the mud was slimy, there was no wind, it was too hot, the Pub was full of 4WD'ers and there was nothing to do in this town but drink Coffee and talk about better times.

Sure, go ahead, come at your own risk despite my best warnings, Just understand that winging and bitching about mud, stink, weed, water levels, Swan poo, infections, not enough wind, too much wind, not having the right fin, sail or board, lack of balls, exhaustion, illness, overcrowding and pretty much anything else you powder puffs can come up with will absolutely not be tolerated!

No Whinging!!

You have been warned!

For the real windsurfers amongst us, it's actually not too bad.

Hey Mr Daffy, I have a complaint......
ive had a hard on since I visited LG

Craig I think you and Daffy should just give windsurfing away today and cut the worrying and whining and whinging.

Fantastic shots!

Packers point looks great! The water level is up quite a bit by the look of it, with the change in wind direction. Those shallows on the right of the point were dry last week during the SSE winds.

Can you see the fin lines through the weed in the drone photos?

Mick, don't worry about the forecast. The forecast for the last week was rubbish, apart from last Thursday and yesterday, yet we have sailed 6 days in 7, with many sailors clocking up over 500kms for the week.

Two caravan parks: Beachport CP and Southern Ocean Tourist Park. Most (or all?) of the sailors are in the Southern Ocean TP. We were watching some of Jimbobs (very) old VCR windsurfing tapes in the BBQ shelter tonight.
I recon there are still plenty of available sites. I look forward to seeing you again.

Something to do on a windless day.

1 - The owner of all parking spots on the lake comes to collect:

2 - Mark 'calmly' waits for Maree the day she did her distance pb (almost walked to the other side of the lake ) :

3 - Andrew had to sleep in his car:

4 - Tuna sauce to break the schnitzel and frozen garlic bread diet of the illawarra gang:

5 - Artur and the lake - thanks to Sue for the great photo:

Nice one George! Missing the place already!
You missed one more 'classic' Lake George activity - the much celebrated 'march fly slap dance'.
It's a bit like the German version but performed in a neoprene costume rather than Lederhosen!
