Evolution is part of our young sport and a better system is OK if they still offer service / quiver extensions for 3 years on the current one IMO. Axis did the same with the black fuse and many others
As long as they keep making new wings that are compatible with both systems it is OK
We won't be using our current mast and fuse in 3 years anyway...

Both as in your diagram. But when changing the whole system they could redesign some wings like the 1000 and 1110 to fit an stronger M8 fuse with slightly bigger contact points.

Doing that and keep the older gear available seems to me more future proof.

I use the high aspect W1000 and W1110 on the 647 kite fuse and 82 mast. I don't have any noticeable flexing or problems with the fuse to wing or fuse to mast joints and I'm 95kg. That's with 6mm bolts. The bigger surf fuses and larger area wings like the 1250 and 1100 needed the 8mm bolts. I also have no interest in jumping or freestyle, so that's probably why I haven't had any issues. My jam is DW.

The upgrade comes from the need to produce stiffer, stronger and lighter masts as well as improved, stronger mast to fuselage joint. The problem was using composite moulds which were limited in the amount of pressure when moulding and the amount of heat. This would crack the composite moulds. With aluminum moulds, serious pressure can be applied, with more carbon in the mould, and then baked at almost double the temperature. The chord thickness and length can be reduced making the masts more efficient and also lighter.

All the wings will still fit old and new fuses so no need to panic, your performance you have been enjoying to date isn't going to diminish. Just going forward with the forces more advanced riders are putting on their gear means the masts needed to be stiffer and stronger. Jimmy is hoping to eliminate warranty breakage almost entirely.

Can we not celebrate innovation, progression and future designs?

DM have you had a crack on the w1110 for DW sup?

Is it possible to paddle it up onto foil from a flatwater start or does it need too much speed?

Sorry to stray off topic, but what is the 1250 like? Haven't seen any reviews yet.

Before this I had the w1100 for light wind days.

The w1250 is faster, has more glide, lower stall speed and more lift.
I use it on 700HS fuselage and 450 stabilizer.

Its slow and boring tho, if your a big lad, its nice to have a big hydrofoil.

I have not seen any notice about availability older parts for 3 years

Had 2 sessions on W1110/S399 (at ~75kg on 60L board) it's definitely my favorite light wing rig now, can still reach ~19 knots, a bit wobbly to control on high speeds but doable, stall speed is very low, glides for a long time, easy to pump, they nailed the coffin for light wind.
It's like a bigger sister of W1000 (I'm 90% on it and it's my favorite so far too).

Cool. How do you compare the stall speed to the w945?

Hard to tell, I'd say it's about the same if not better on w1110.

I tried yesterday the 1110+399 with 1.5degree shim on my 6m Fanatic 5.8x125l and Duotone Slick 6m on a very lightwind and gusty lake with sometimes 10min between the gusts.My buddy with more or less the same weight was on his AK6.0x110l 5m Slick and Sab1100+483. We are more or less equally skilled. We both needed an gust to get going (outside the gusts the wing wouldnt carry its own weight, so it was that light) but it seems like my buddy with the 1100 and 5m had an slight advantage in getting up the foil. Once flying the 1110 is pretty fast, outruns all the other wingfoils with an huge margin and need very little wind to keep going in near zero wind. In a gust at high speed it becomes a bit harder to control, but at that point I was chasing the windsurf Race race foilers with there 9m rigs, smaller foils and Fuses double the length of mine.

My plan was to sell my 1100 and just keep the 1110 for lightwind but I think the 1100 still has its place for the lightwind summer breeze days. Its not the fastest, but needs even less wind to get up the foil.

maybe for heavier rider the 1250 would be even better in this case?

I'm with you , 92 mast/700 fuselage has only been out 8 months and it cost me a small fortune to upgrade and now it's pretty much worthless unless I can sell my complete foil with wings and all.
If that's the case maybe it's time change brands or cough up another 3k for the new system ??

I changed from Moses this time last year as their winging gear (er foils) was ****, went to armie, that didn't work out as too heavy 100kg+. Changed to GoFoil and it the best decision I ever made, strong thin 14mm mast, one piece, no tefgel, and the new step design is next level for foiling, don't worry about breaching anymore. The RS and GT wings are great, haven't tried any other wings though. GoFoil may not be as fast as Moses, but they aren't slow either. I have no regrets changing brands. GoFoil is lighter than Moses 92 setup too by almost 0.5kg

I still use a 91/800/399 for kiting though, but GoFoil are releasing a RS850 which could replace it.

No sponsored by GoFoil and paid full price for my gear.

I just went all in on sab this past 12 months, so it is a little frustrating. But upgrade to m8 for the mast is a great idea. Although I have not had any problems with m6s, some people have.

Will this kraken mast be stiffer than the current 72/82/92s? I hear quite a few complaining about sab foil mast stiffness, although they work fine for me.

I guess winging through a wrench in their plans as they had to upgrade to m8 for the big front wings. Might have been good if the kraken and the HS fuses came out at the same time....but that would of meant delaying the m8 front wings

It will be interesting to see how this kraken holds up. Most of the bugs should be ironed out by the time you and I are in need of new masts.

Do people who own or have tried the ART range find SAB to be faster and more consistent at speed? Furthermore does the W1000 or 1110 have more speed/ low end range of a 999 ?
