Bula

Contrary to those select few who were invited to leave our property and have since decided to tell everyone there thoughts....we are still open and going well.

Quotes from recent guests....last week!

Balmoral Boards - Shop Manager - Sydney
" Had a Ball, great kiting, very chill, great snorkelling"
Andrius Daukus

Kite Sessions - Owner - Sydney
"Best kiteboarding I've had, awesome food, relaxed and friendly atmosphere & staff, see you all next season + you must have a go at the Safari downwinders (huge!)"
Luke Selby

" Just spent 10 days at Safari. Had a ball. Great spot / wind / people / food (especially food). Awesome place, great staff, very relaxing, food is tops"
Melbourne private client...

So, if you really want the picture....we are open, we have all our appropriate licences and have NEVER operated illegally (nice one boys for trying to slur my company name...)

If you would like a clients story, please feel free to ring Andrius from Balmoral boards in Sydney, he just spent 10 days here.....or ring Luke from Kite Sessions.....both of them loved it!

If you want me to answer any queries or allegatins others have written to try to revenge from being invited to leave, then feel free to email me direct...my emails public..happy to help. Email me for photos of our property, now they have left the container has been unloaded and the property fitted out with fine Australian furniture.

We are open and clients are happy....

If your mature, enjoy a morning cup of nice coffee, and appreciate fine furniture, comfortable conditions, in a new facility then feel free to email me about availability. If your young and want other things, then find them elsewhere..... because we don't tolerate it.

Rgds

Warren has as much right to try to fix the damage done to his reputation by yourself and others, as you did to damage it in the first place.

If safari lodge was really that bad, there would be alot of complaints by now... not from just one trip... so you may have had a bad experience, doesnt mean everyones experience there will be the same...

This sounds a bit un fair in my opinion. Slingshot and KBM sponser this site im sure, and yet if they started a thread on how good there product is or how good the next mag is going to be im sure it would be removed asap. other posts about safari lodge have been removed from this site for no apperent reason i guess if you sponser this site it automatically voids you as a topic of conversation unless its positive. If this is the case you would think that all the individuals that have posted negative replies about KBM should have been removed aswell. What do you think about this i would love to hear other peoples opinnions

It means that most people can see through the smoke, your attempts to discredit Warren's place here and in KBM have not been very successful. The is some justice in the world after all

Time to let go...get over it

How many other kite mags do you see appearing in the News section?

I personally think Laurie does an excellent job moderating this forum and is fair to all his sponsors. I'm sure he would delete or lock a post if he felt it wasn't allowed.

As I understand it, sponsors sponsor Seabreeze so may receive promotion anywhere on the site.

Zac move on & forward ,i would say all of us have had enough of this childish crap? lets growth up.

i have had dealings with Warren in the past when i lived in Wellington Nz , he was ok we had no issues with him or his windsurfing course
if you expect to go to any ones place & cause havoc really WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ?

i would say you & your kbm all need to go away & growth up

best regards

If Warren was that good he wouldn't need to come in here and up talk the place now would he. It takes 2 to tango
Thanks for making it clear now Warren that children, teenagers and young adult kiters are not welcome and that after the 'incident' you decided to fit the place out with some furniture making it fit for people to stay.
Good for you.

Undeservedly, KBM is the convenient whipping-boy around this neck of the woods.
And Surfari Lodge might cop a flogging too if the wind is crap in Fiji that particular week.

I think a good dose of wind is needed by everybody.

Hey Zac .. fully understand your point of view. The reason this post stayed was that I thought it fair that Safari get a viewpoint in. Warren has posted here for quite some time, so it isn't as if he's spamming us all with stories about his place.

Regards the whole Fiji affair, seabreeze.com.au is sponsored by four of the mobs involved, so makes for an interesting situation!

Hopefully, now everybody has had their say, everbody can all move forward and think about the future of kiting, getting fit for summer, wearing boardies, 22 knot seabreezes...YEAH BABY!

Enjoy .. Laurie

For all you ill informed I have a few little things to say that clearly explain the situation.

KBM and riders invited to promote new kiting resort - seems simple keep the guys entertained for 9 days

accomodation for the young guys flimsy crappy tents in a unprepared / landscaped swampy mess during the end of the wet season

Lodge with no mozzie screens on the windows no fans no furniture besides 6 pathetic beach chairs (the ones when your but is 2 inches of the ground)

No bed shees or pillows for three of the guests no mosquito nets for any of the beds

No running water or flushing toilets for days at a time water deliverd from algae stained chemical drums

no land scaping so the grounds filled up like a pond for 4 days making it impossible to keep the place clean or access the place without walking through knee hi water

promises of a boat to wake board behind - no boat - fishing yea 3 x 200 mtrs from the shore no fish basically no contingency plans

Chastised when we went out for a night of fun and didnt ask for wazzas permission - weirdo

Oh a container full of furniture has now arrived - thanks Wazza I love to holiday in a empty unfinished unfurnished shack where I can be masacred by mosquitos all day and especially at night when I am sleeping on a mattress with my towel and a clothes for cover - basic hygeine

You have no idea what hospitality is, if you treat people with no regard for their comfort how do you expect people to react?

Although small but very significant in my eyes if you cant even provide basics such as a sheet or a pillow (not mention the rest)clearly tells me of the kind of unorganised ill-prepared show you run

Very, Very disapointing trip thank God for Go windsurfing and Morrisons who managed to salvage the rest of our trip to make it memorable for the right reasons.

No one in the know really doubted that Safari Lodge was going strong and no doubt will continue despite the crud exhuded by those determined to add a teenage catty element to this forum.

Laurie actually does a good job of moderately moderating in moderation and occasionally pulling those boundary hoppers back.

Still how do you know where the boundaries are if you don't cross them every now and then?

but at some stage there needs to be an automatic spell check for posts to stop posters from embarassing themselves[}:)]

Of course this BS would never had happened if those concerned had come to fiji on one of my tours(blatant comercialism). my boundaries are much more patrolled than Lauries or Warrens.

PS: laurie will probably invite me to advertise now

Is telling it how it was exuding crud?

To quote you -but at some stage there needs to be an automatic spell check for posts to stop posters from embarassing themselves
-(its spelt exude not exhuded)

I have nothing to gain but to tell the truth

Tony you must have some kind of interest in this business as you have been quite vocal in your support for SL and given you were not there I fail to understand how you can substantiate any of your argument. I would be embarrassed to have any association with Safari Lodge or Warren Francis.

If you are comfortable dealing with even half of what I have stated (oh and there’s lots more), I think your pulling the pud?

I am 32 years old not 21 and have travelled far and wide enough to know what’s acceptable and what’s plainly not.

I look forward to your response

Ride-em cowboy

Damm a caught out by a typo(is that how you spell typo or isn't it a real word?)

I was actually typing my reply before carl's first response. I should have been a dentist, being so good at hitting raw nerves and all.

But NO, I'd be a very bad dentist, as they need to show some compassion(is that spelt correct?)for their patients.

Still to re-state a previous point "you pay for what you get".

the group I took paid a very reasonable amount and got in return excellent value in activities, fun and good food.

And all have said they would go back.

As for Holiday's very cheap shot. Think before you make all those you seek to suck up to, look as cheap and petty.

Lets all think of something fun and constructive to spend our 2 cents on in this forum from now on.

After reading Bevo's story, I feel like a holliday at Safari Lodge !
Sounds like fun,a bit of an adventure !

Notice the critics don't mention kiting or wind conditions. Its strange that one of the complaints was about the lack of a boat to "wakeboard" behind. This says a lot about this ungratefull crew.Just a bunch of spoilt wakeboarders that are soft as girls !

Is it a ca$e of 'you get exactly what you pay for'?
Is Surfari Lodge a no-frills 2 star dive?
And does the tariff fit the establishment?

I've stayed in some thirdworld roach-motels but the tariff was appropriate. Dirt cheap you could say.

Hi Timothy

As far as wakeboarding goes I dont generalize on the character of the individuals, also I have never wakeboarded behind a boat in my life, I would love to have a go, some of the stuff these guys do is seriously radical - respect

What I was meaning was the boat could have been one positive (we were told there was a boat) at least even a kook wakeboarder like myself could of had a go.

There was a lack of any contingency plan to keep the boredom away. A smart host taking a gamble on the conditions would of thought of this. How long could you crack coconuts for?

As far as the conditions go they were not special basicaly choppy deep water conditions with gnarly coral reef lined shores that on the low were a total no go

And as for the wind we were informed we were about 6 weeks to early -so we got about 3 days of frontal squally wind
