Over here the biggest issue is availability, the demand is way higher as they can sell.

To get everything in perspective: What do weight Meonash that you need an 2.5 Frigate?
The 4.5 Frigate V2 that I demoed had quite an overlap with my 3.5Quest and being 94kg I easily use that up to 30 knots. I have a 3m quest but so far not needed it yet so wonder in what conditions you need an 2.5Frigate.

its also very much how you use it. Overpowered I really really don,t like it and the Fones, Quest/ Frigate V2 are waay better in that, but monday there was a little bit of quickly dropping wind, range where I normally would grab my 5m normall wing or my 5.7 PR2. Because it was close to dead onshore and a nasty shorebreak with 2-3sec between the waves and the PR2 is back for waranty I took out my PR2 4.3.
Paddled out, launched the thing and with good timing in chaos and serious pumping I was on foil on 5.7 conditions and underpowered I really like it. It felt light, controlable, easy to stow and givven the fact that I was probably riding faster as the windspeed decent redeploy. Altough the Fones have a grat mid and especially top end they lack that low end. Of course you can size up, but I rather use smaller gear.

That Indiana all in one sounds like a fun allrounder.
With the foil the width is a trade off for take off, but rather a stable but slightly draggier board as one that you can,t stand on. And when you use a bit of a crubmling wave for the take of you will be fine, o simply use your foilboost on the bumps in the back.

Hi Alex we met in Viana this summer.
I was there on my Sunova 8.4x20x125l that you tried, but learned it on my 2023 Sunova 7.6x23x137l.
That one was waaaay more stable and floatier, Obiviously it needed a bit more power or wave to get on foil, but to learn on a great shape. Shapes like that are still pretty cheap to pick up on ebay.
My wife uses it now to learn to wingfoil on and when I was learning the first stages of Parawing I used it for that as well,so those boards are quite well rounded.
A friend of me got the 7.0x26/.27 soapbar alike shape and that hold him back quite a bit so I wouldnt go that route, but something of 7-8ftx23 makes live a lot easier.

Nope,but I ride PR2 5.7-4.3 without problems.
I demoed the UltaX 3.6 and it felt like it has more range and especially better top end controll due the extended bar wich helps imo huge.
The Frigate V2 was imo the better/ more impresive one, but tht might be personal.

The SS is a great mast, especially with bigger spanny foils of 1300-1600cm2 its stiffer as most.
Duotone has a saddle type of mastconnection. I have the same with AFS and you can get adapters from that from Jim Stringfellow.
The positive is that the connection is stiff, the downside is that it is notticeable more draggy compared to the AFS UHM80 without the block of aloy inbetween the mast and fuse.
I can,t say for 100% sure its the adapter, but with the same fuse and foil and both masts have aprox the same diameter and overall cord it seems to be the most logical conclussion to blame the extra thickness arouund the head caused by the adapter. Because I really liked the extra stifness of the OO mast
I asked Stringfellow to make me a custom fuse: axis/one ocean head to AFS foils but unfortunally he stopped making custom fuses for now.
Bit of a pitty because with the adapter the excellent OO SS mast is not gonna be used so serious considdering switching to a foil brand like Code (S2) where the adapter falls into the fuse or switch brand of DW/supfoil foils including mast.
I demoed the Naish Excalibur and really really liked that one for its insane low end.

If I Win the lotery I would go for PR UltraX in the big sizes, Its insane how much better it feels with just the afterburner bar and how small it packs
the Frigate V2 in the mids and Quest in the really small ones for control and ease of use when its really rough.
Till then: Happy with my PR2 in 5.7 and 4.3 and Quest in 3.5+3.0 to cover 15 to 35+ knots

I can,t comment on the low end of the Frigate V2 but demoed last weekend the 4.5 on a demo day in the netherlands. (I,m 93/94kg riding an KT SuperKv2 95l and AFS Silk V21050 v2)
I was on my own Quest 3.5 and when the wind dropped I switched to the F-V2 4.5 to try. Obviously as soon as I hit the water the wind came back to an 25-30knots....and it didnt bother the wing at all.
It felt a bit like an Quest-GT. same bar, but everything reacts faster, mnore direct and more precise, the low end trick in the vid works (its what I do as well on the Quest I have). Upwind angle is higher and faster, stowing similar to the Quest, redeploy with my technique slightly less/ more tangles.
Friends who ussually ride 1 size bigger were on 3.5 well powered while I was on 4.5. normally I don,t like to ride powered up but with the Frigate V2 4.5 it was no fight at all so the top end is wow!
I also like the handeling and power adjustment over the PR2 4.3 and 5.7 I own, but I have absolutely no clue how the low end is.
That said. I tried the PR UltraX 3.6 and that felt really really good as well with almost F-One bar feel.
Gonna be an intersting and expebsive year i,m afraid

Sounds like an great idea.
I rode yesterday the PR Ultra X in a demo day, that has the extension in front as well and of course its more as just the bar, but it was way more comfortable.
I can,t find seperate Fone bars, but Gong sells seperate bars...Might be intersting to look into and try.

I tried the Naish and Duotone and was quite impressed by them.
The weight was notticeable when walking to the water, but what makes me really like them was the extra stiffness and sort of bounching of the water when you pump them on foil. For me that was especially with the DW boards a big difference
On a demo day I was able to try the The Naish Chimera 108 hollow and normall one back to back.
The hollow was 100% sure quicker to get on foil and feels lighter/more reactive as the normall one..but they have a steep pricetag and didnt feel that much better as my KT pro carbon (not cheap either).
Would I get one: Very much depending on the shape and pricing. For me it first starts with finding the shape that suits me well and then the construction. I would never get a board for the sake of being hollow.

I tried both Balz and Razor and think that in lake conditions the Balz is way more fun and has imo a bigger range too.
The Quality of the Razor is its glide, but in medium+ wind you want imo speed, maneuvrability and playfulness.
Keep in mind that you can make any foil more calm or playfull and lively with sizing up or sizing down the stab. Stabs are imo as important as fronts and too often a bit forgotten (in the back of atention😜)
