I have a 7.2m, never thought I would love a big wing. But it's great! Great low end with great pumpabiliy! I'm 82kg naked and can start it in 12 knots. The pull and upwind of semi hybrid is great! Very happy with it. I stow it in 6 sec.

I heard from a person (has 4m and 3m) that they are easier/better then hybrid . In drainage and maneuvers. Is that true?

There is still no video (I haven't found any) showing the drainage of the orbit. Show us a video when pw is submerged and redeployed!

Honestly it's a non issue for the 2.7m and 3.5m IMO. Super fast drainage and relaunch that felt closer to a single skin than something like the Paia double skin.

Sound good but still need video proof 😁

And I would love to hear if anyone tried 777 LTX parawing, different sizes. Vs hybrid vs singel skin.

Just look at the price of a UHM carbon mast, back in 2018 that would have bought you 3 complete foils. People will pay.

In my opinion.. Mast is not the same thing. If you want stiffness/thin you don't have any other alternative. However, numerous parawing options are available.
I can say that i would have considered acquired an Afterburner if it had been offered at a ok price.

But I can make exactly the same argument in reverse... "If you want a great upwind parawing but with the simplicity of a single skin, you don't have any other alternative. However, there are numerous mast options available".

I personally don't find a substantial difference between my old Code mast or my old Armstrong mast when I compare them to some of the newer FAR more expensive thinner &/or stiffer masts. Certainly not enough of a difference to pay $1500 more.

But I do find a big difference between the parawings I've tried (including the AB) - and certainly enough of a difference to pay $200-600 more.

It's harder to switch brand when you have invested

If you have invested in a foil brand you don't have alot of alternatives. Sometimes that's the only mast you can get. For parawing there are lots of alternative and you can mix brands.

I would never pay that much for pw when there are alternatives that work as good/even better.

There nothing new and won't give me any performance peak. I was hoping for more. :/ I'll stick to my hybrid/LTX.

I’ve used the 5.7 AB for past two days
its super fast flys upwind. It needs to be fully cranked over to get the most out of it.
super stable as long as the lines stay tight.
packing down is harder but not by much.
for me wouldn’t like to take the 5.7 in breaking surf. But light wind blasting and
wrapping it up but not packing it’s just so much fun and full on session.

How long are the lines? For light wind I need to get rid of the parawing fast and armlenght lines are needed in my conditions where we don't have good waves but wind chops. And when there are wind I don't get why I should use afterburner instead of hybrid/semi hybrid with short lines. Surely double skin/hybrid/semi should go upwind better/faster.

I have the 7.2 LTX the bar pressure is less then my previous Ozone v1. I can manage that wing up to 18-20 knots. BTW very impressed with LTX. Hybrid from 4m down. And bigger sizes LTX.

I have the new PRv2 and even in the 3m i still perform a double pull. It has no negative once you know how to do it . I don't think its worth having really short lines considering what you give up, give me the PRv1 lines any day and they pack heaps better. I noticed even Dimitry in Mauritius is doing the double pull on all brands. It creates a very tight gathering with the last pull being more powerful and doesn't stress the shoulders at their extremities.

In my opinion you gain low end maybe better upwind. But I rather go a little bit larger pw with good line length or better board. I will never buy a parawing again that has long lines. 2 pull is deal breaker for me. No afterburner for me in larger sizes . Hope smaller sizes has ok/good length. Hope Ozone surprises me.

With long lines you don't have the best stashability. Seems like refined v1

Lines looks to long for the after burner in the Instagram post. It's a no go for me. MAX 180cm . But you need longer line for race. But they want people go upwind and downwind.. Hmm confusing.
