Hmmm just purchased the first kitefoiling set at 72 yo...wonder if l manage it to learn,...kiting for 22 years now only wave directional boards and an Airush 54 V5 slalom board...
My set of kites 14m catalyst v2 ( will be sold if l succeed together with the slalomboard) 12/9/7/5 ozone reo v6....just purchased new 12m 10m Ozone alpha v2 at -50%
These still can be used on my airush cypher fishboard, 12m reo will be sold if Alpha is good in lightwind.
So a new adventure to start with, very uncertain yet in if l can manage it to learn🤖
Great idea; of course you can do it! I don’t know much about those particular kites, but once you get a bit proficient you’ll likely be down-sizing (unless you get into racing). You need very little power once up on foil.
I believe that the ability to turn quickly with little line tension and drift a bit in light airs are the main attributes for the kite.
Your choice of foil is probably far more important than the kite or the board.
Enjoy the adventure!
