banning shark fishing close to, or from, shore makes sense to me. it's obviously bringing in the sharks closer to the people and having those steel-like lines out there presents a problem to both those in the water and boats going by.

i'm kind of surprised there hasn't been much feedback on the fact that these improvements are not compatible with the old Max units. i'm no engineer so perhaps that was impossible, but to get a 10-20% improvement in battery time that requires you to effectively buy an entire new FD unit seems a stretch. i've been very happy with my FD Max and their support is exceptional, but I was disappointed to discover these improvements are not backward compatible. For me, I'd rather spend another thousand for another FD Max battery than 4 thousand+ for the whole new FD Max Plus setup. I guess the plan is that new buyers would opt for the PLus system and FD also gets more leverage regards the Fusion, but I hope there are no plans to discontinue the FD Max batteries.

right of way has been discussed many times on many forums. my rule is assume no one will yield the right of way, and so it's up to me to avoid others. but if someone is coming at me and yelling 'watch out', i'd have a chat with them on the beach later.

does anyone know if a bigger Blast (e.g., 105L) would be good as a light wind board for a 90 kg rider? I've sold my mid lengths as I just don't like the way they ride so want a larger volume but shorter board for light winds.

i've got dents/marks all over my Omen board but it's still going strong after 4 years. i even somehow managed to crack through the nose (hitting it on concrete while washing it after each session) but with some cosmetic repair job it still shows no sign of harm.💪
