OK, I will try to answer some of the questions.

Compared to F4 Manta.....Sorry have never seen a Manta in the flesh. It has a lower AR than this foil and is targeted more as a pure surf foil than the One Ocean which is more of an allrounder.
Compared to the Sab Balz....my freind has some but I have never ridden them. Again the Balz has a lower AR but the foil profile is similar. The One Ocean has a bit less rear loading and a finer entry. I suspect the Balz may have a touch more lift and lower stall speed but the One Ocean better glide and faster.
Fuselages.....Axis still have the Windsurf fuselage on the website. Its quoted as 88cm but I dont know how its measured. My custom is 92cm from leading edge of the front wing to the trailing edge of the stab. One Ocean have no plans to do a Windsurf fuselage that I am aware of, I could talk to Jacko though. I have a contact to do customs in Ti but they will be $$$$$$$$$$. If I did a few at a time they may be a bit cheaper. What I can do is model a new one up as I would change mine a bit if given the opertunity...then get it quoted.
Fyi....a local winger used the 980 yesterday....he rides Spitfires. He said initially he felt the 980 didn't roll into a turn as intuitively as his Spitfire but he got used to it and changed his stance a bit and then he liked the way it turned. I guess you are comparing a 7,25 AR to a 9AR. He said it did everything else better than his Spitfire, easier to get on foil, faster and better glide.
Today it was very windy and wild, I saw a 38 knot gust on the graph the same time I first went out. I started on the 800AT and was having fun (I think, its was pretty crazy windy) I came in and changed to the 980 to tame things down a bit, the 800 is pretty fast. It seems weird to change up when its super windy but I was more comfortable on it...just that bit more settled . As I mentioned in my first post, this wing has an increadible range...

OK......before I talk about this foil a massive disclaimer, I designed it!!! I will try to be as objective as possible but you are free to not beleive a word I write.
So, what is this foil? I have been involved in a few foil projects for the last few years, some of you may know I had a fin brand called Atomicsurf and I was designing windsurf fins as well. Recently Jacko at One Ocean Sports has allowed me to indulge my design addiction and design some foils and masts for him. This particular front wing is a bit of a selfish design, its the front wing I really wanted....
It is designed as an all rounder hence the "All Terrain" name, primarily for wing and for me freeride windfoiling, but can also cross over to prone and freestyle and probably parawing....I have been involved in the Windfoil side of the testing and have now been riding the production wing for a couple of months in all sorts of wind strenths and water states.
The stats.......The projected area is 980cm2 with a span of 940mm giving an AR of 9:1. The foil profile varies along its span but effectively has a moderate camber and a small amount of rear loading (the concave near the trailing edge on the high pressure side)
It has moderate anhedral turning to slight dihedral in the tips (upturned). The plan shape keeps a decent chord length nearer the fuselage and narrows down to fairly fine tips.

The foil has pretty good lift and gets up with little effort. It accelerates to a decent top end speed and upwind it's very stable. I would describe it as very user freindly. Downwind it has good speed and glide and rolls into a turn very easily. The stall speed is quite low so its forgiving when you go a bit dumbo on the gybe.... So it sounds a bit boring right???
Wrong, it is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Get athletic with it and it rewards you. Push it for speed and it responds, if you give it some power and have the courage it's a fast wing. Likewise downwind if you get more aggressive in the turns it responds. This thing carves hard and grips, awesome fun on some swell.
It also has a massive wind range. I used it yesterday on my Tribal Foil Slalom board with a 7.0 in probably 13 to 18 knots and flat water. It got me up pretty easy at my 90 +kilos. At the other end of the scale I have ridden it in 30 to 35 knots and 2 meter Port Phillip Bay steep swell and it was doable, actually never had me wishing I was on a smaller foil. It is almost a one wing quiver for me ( I also really like the 800 AT but I will use that more in the Summer when we have steadier seabreezes and not the gusty and blustery winter conditions)
So for the type of foiling I love which is blasting upwind and chasing swell back, carving up the faces as best I can, this foil is a winner......I really, really like it.

It is compatible with the Axis Black fuselages, Axis do a Windfoiling fuse which is great. One Ocean have Titanium fuselages for winging but at the moment no windfoil fuse, the one you see in these photos is a custom.

As I said...I am the designer so you can call BS on everything I have written however I have ridden quite a lot of foils both my own designs and other brands and I highly rate this foil wing....

Oh...and as a PS to this post. I recently purchased an Ezzy Cross 5.7 for freeride windfoiling.......its awesome, stable, fast and just plain easy.....

My custom fuse to suit axis wings and mast is 306mm from the front of the fuse to the front of the mast mounting slot. 896mm from the front of the fuse to the trailing edge of the stab ( stab dependant...does not use Axis stab mount)
This works great for me.....
I also have a longer tail...90mm longer for my slalom foil board that I use in lighter winds and flattish water.

Jacko has upgraded the 78 and 84 SSS masts with a version 2. A bit thinner again, new lower drag foil profile and new layup.....cool....

Yesterday I got to try the first new One Ocean 100cm mast in combination with my prototype 890 cm2 front wing and custom Ti / carbon fuselage.....WOW !!!!

Firstly the dimensions.....Its 100cm overall length, so with the Axis compatible fuselage connection that makes the wetted length 97.2cm. 14mm chord thickness and 11.4 cm chord length. UHM carbon.
It is mega stiff both in flex and torsion, grabing by the fuse at each end and twisting, it is by far the most torsion resistant mast I have used.

On water.......I have been using a custom mast for a few years, 15mm chord thickness 11.8 cm chord length. Standard modulus carbon but lots of it and I considered it until yesterday to be a very good stiff mast.....was I wrong. 20 knot day.....5.3 Killer wave sail and a good Port Phillip Bay wind wave, perfect for testing.
First impression was the speed and glide improvement. My CNC machined front wing is only an AR 8:1 and although its a turning machine it was on the verge of lacking enough glide to match the swell speed here. No longer. The combination of this mast and the thinner Ti fuselage gave the setup a fifth gear, I could now easily stay on the swell and skip to the swell in front if the wave started to fade. Chalk and cheeze, way slipperier.
Up wind it was noticeably faster and the stabilty due to the stiffness of the whole setup was next level. I was blasting upwind on a wave foil !!!

I think this mast is great news for Axis riders....there is now a super high preformance mast for you that is affordable. If you are still on the Alloy mast this is a no brainer. For riders who would like to get on the Axis gear and access their fantastic range of foils this is your entry ticket for freeride windfoiling in my opinion. Axis have foils for whatever your passion is..... One Ocean are also expanding their wing range with some bloody beauties and Konrad have Axis compatible foils....so with this mast you would have endless options.......

For me. My freeride Windfoiling sessions just got way better......I can't stop smiling.
