Thomas Coville onboard Sodebo has a deficit of just 750 miles in relation to Francis Joyen's Idec, holder of the current Jules Verne 'solo' record of 57 days, 13 hours and 34 minutes. Coville has to date, been at sea for 37 days. Sodebo is doing approx 23 knots, pushed by a strong current in the direction of Cape Horn. Coville is expected at the Cape on Tuesday. It is difficult to know the precise conditions thomas will meet once he has rounded the Horn, but it appears Sodebo will probably follow a similar trajectory to that followed by record ...
