WA Fisheries calls for comment on new Act
Public comment is being encouraged on a discussion paper which details the framework for a proposed new Act of Parliament regarding the management of Western Australia's fisheries and aquatic resources.
The paper adopts a strategic view of how legislation can ensure we continue to enjoy our oceans and rivers in a sustainable way.
Submissions close on 26 July 2010 following which a final proposal for a new Act will be developed. Further comments from the public will be sought once a draft Bill has been developed.
