Cocoa Beach, the Florida town that calls America's National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) a neighbour, will welcome thousands of horsepower this weekend (August 20-22), but there won't be a rocket in sight. The horsepower will be in the engine bays of the 'hot fleet' expected to turn out for the Thunder on the Beach Space Coast Grand Prix, the fifth stop on the National Series Circuit staged by Super Boat International (SBI). SBI President John Carbonell first introduced a race at Cocoa Beach 20-years ago, but believes the time is 'now right' to make a return to the venue. ...
