They said he couldn't do it, but Tom Barry-Cotter has no intention of surrendering his Class 1 Offshore Superboat Championship without a fight. With Norway's Pal Virik Nilsen on throttles, Tom piloted the supercharged 1860hp catamaran 'Mustang' to victory in both races in the penultimate round of the 2010 championship. After a disastrous start to the defence of the crown they had won two years in a row (2008 and '09), Barry-Cotter and Virik Nilsen had been virtually written off when they were hampered by serious engine problems in the early rounds.
