When we first got wind of slalom sensation, Sarah Hebert's (Naish, Naish) plans to cross the Atlantic by windsurfer, we thought she was mad. The last time any of the PWA's members took part in a similar adventure, it went down in the history books as one of the most dangerous things they'd ever done.

However, Hebert isn't planning to race across, and she's taking a very different route where she will hopefully encounter more favourable winds and seas. This doesn't make it any less of a challenge or an achievement though.

Having spent the first eleven years of her life sailing around the world, Hebert wants to head back to the deep ocean to experience the feeling again. What makes Hebert's intentions all the more crazy though is that she's doing it with a defibrillator implant!
