The current trend in windsurfing movies seems to be focused on intense action, and heavy soundtracks, occasionally missing the underlying simplicity of the sport. Movie makers 'Sofa Movielab' are on a mission to change this stereotype.

In September this year, the boutique movie house will launch it's most recent production - 'From Monday Till Sunday at the 2009 PWA Grand Slam in Sylt. The movie takes a down to earth approach, focusing on the behind the scenes perspective of various PWA competitors, in a bold attempt to capture the purity of the sport - how the riders feel, and their individual background stories.

With shooting based in Germany, The Canary Islands, and Bonaire, expect to see a mixture of footage that gives the film a much more real-world feel. Professional riders show off of their local breaks, and the places they learned to love the sport.
