The French contingent excelled in the light and gusty wind conditions, as they demonstrated that they are capable of throwing the biggest moves in the most challenging of conditions. By the end of the contest three of the Team France members had finished in the top ten. Anthony Ruenes and Nicolas Akgazciyan claimed equal fifth, whilst Julien Mas finished ninth. Adrien Bosson injured his ankle after his first round victory, which unfortunately forced him to retire from the competition.
