I hate all shopping catalogues and junk mail. But I find the Aldi catalogue most interesting.

I hate junk mail too. Put a no junk mail sign on the letterbox and that stopped most of it. Caught one guy putting junk mail into it when I was in the front yard. I called him back and put his junk mail back into his bag, along with election cr*p that was in the box too. He complained, saying "I don't want this ** in my bag", I calmly explained that is just like I don't want his ** in my letterbox. He got the message.

As for the junk mail that comes via aussie post; sometimes, when I get bored, I swap all the mail around and send it back in the prepaid envelopes. (ie. send the readers digest ** to mastercard etc).

rant = over

Back in the day we just chucked it in a skip bin and still got paid for "delivering" it. Young folk nowadays, no initiative....

Use of non SI units, like when someone writes a distance as 50 klms. WTF is that, 50 kilo litre metre seconds?

Here's one to think about, today at the supermarket there's a line of people waiting to use the self service checkout, while the checkout chick has no one to serve. I asked her what she thinks about the sheep at the self serve and she tells me about how many staff they've lost since the self checkout was introduced and how she's stressing about keeping her job.

Why use the self service aisle at all? I (almost) never do. It's just nicer to have a person to deal with than that recorded voice. I can never open the bloody plastic bags. I always **** something up. Somehow. There's no discount for doing the work yourself, as a customer, so what's the point anyway?

I'd rather pay $1 to go through an express lane with a real person in it.

So yeah. I hate the self service lines in supermarkets. Next we'll be stocking the shelves too.

^^^ totally agree. One little error and the whole transaction is buggered, you can't reverse things yourself so it slows you down waiting for help. I only tried it once and never again.

...................people who choose to live in cities then complain about all the other things that city people do, then whinge about it.

If you need a coffee to chill your life, then get out and forget about making the big bucks and live a bit.

Believe me, cuttiing your income in half and living life the way you want it, aint the worst thing in the world.

I hate the self service checkouts. Thats peoples jobs right there. But i do use them occasionally, like when I feel like reducing the price of cashews from $20 to $1.65.

I hate when someone pulls up to highway, you see that they see you, but they pull out anyway so you have to brake and wait for them to get up to the speed limit.

I hate trucks that indicate that its safe to pass, when its not.

I hate that they have sections of road with 20mts of broken overtaking line, do they think I am driving an F1?

I hate people who park in the first available fuel bowser, when the one in front is empty.

I hate that head lanterns need 3 "AAA" batteries, yet you can only buy the batteries in packs of 4.

And I hate forgetting my age and perving on the same age group of chicks as I was 10 years ago.

Bleaters.....and people who watch contemporary cooking/talent/renovation/lifestyle television shows. There is a special section in Hell for the people who produce such tv shows.

Marzipan is a foodstuff that is easily hated too, along with people who put stickers on their cars.

Parents who take their young children on planes without first drugging them into submission are a ready target for my hate too.

As long as it is not in your face - safe the hate 4 something serious[}:)]

Now - I hated having to push my plucking bike home with a puncture - the reason (apart from the hill) the can of puncture repair (a car sized one!!) I had carted around 4 2+ years had lost its gas - so was just heavy - ..

baaah
(The bike path under citylink & when I got there - up G'ferrie rd past Scotch college - East Melbourne)

Rockie - mate U want 2 jail me - I jog with the dog for 3/4 and get coffee let dog roam around and sniff while finishing the last 1/4(+ coffee) & if the dog hasn't used it pickup bits of plastic in dog poo bag on the beach = well rounded + feel g8.

I hate people who throw ciggy butts on the ground for me to pick up, how exactly is that not littering?
I hate windsurfing videos that start with some schmuck driving in his car, drinking coffee etc... I want to see windsurfing!!! not traffic!!!
I hate people who can't drive at a consistent speed, slowing down up the hill then speeding up down it, it's called a cruise control! learn how to use it!!!
I hate when I'm walking my dogs down my street and some stupid tourist tells me to watch out for the albatross, yeah, it's been sitting in the same exact spot for 6 freaking months!!
I hate how the parking stalls have become so small even a subcompact car is a tight fit, some of us have to drive work trucks, why do they feel it is necessary to punish us for driving?

I hate coffee drinkers and barristas.

All I want to do is pay for the sandwich I picked up from the fridge, and I have to wait 47 fecking minutes for three fecking expressos!

They just don't get the fact that I only get 30 minutes for lunch!

Clearly I don't need coffee. :)

Suddenly we have Coffee walkers.
How can you possibly enjoy a great coffee when you are walking and supposedly exercising.

What's this coffee walker thing? Are you referring to the plastic teat on tops? An American ladyboy BWM rider must have invented that sh!t.

Believe me, cuttiing your income in half and living life the way you want it, aint the worst thing in the world.

Mrs Piranha and I moved to the country quite a few years ago, and, as you said, cut our income not quite in half. However, our cost of living here is roughly 25% of what it was in the capital. Farmers become good friends, making sheep and cattle about 80% less than supermarket prices, the slower pace is just fabulous, we grow fruit and veges, we have chooks, we go fishing and we have a life.

The problem with the rat race is, even if you win you're still a rat!
