i stumbled on this cab kook the other weekend.

now doesnt he know NO ONE kitesurfs here!??! what a kook!

i went down to the water to call him in and tell him no one could see his kooky boardshorts, and that no one could see him trying his lamo little tricks all by himself with no one around to see or run into... but... he wouldnt come in... for hours... and hours...

how dissappointed would he be, when he pulled his first forward roll and NO ONE saw it. i was yelling he has to go back to the city where there are more people. strangely, he didnt seem to care.

even an oldtimer who knew nothing about the sport told me NO ONE kited here, it was only the second kite he had ever seen there (and he had been there nearly 80 years)...

Cab. Kook. Confirmed.

why would you not go

wow, I can't beleive this thread has made it to page 3, Just thinking about it, I can't beleive I've read to here, I wish I could have that 5 mins of my life back. Their is obviously a lot of built up Cab envy going around. I know this thread is just taking the piss but I think It's amusing how so many people bag Cabs just because everybody else is bagging them, sheep mentality, but how many of you have really tried the new cabs? Yes they do advertise alot, but so do the other big companies, There is another more plausable reason why they are the dominant company, they make a really good product, both build quality and performance, if this wasn't true it would be common knowledge with so many about.

Why would you bother to kite surf any way?
after all its rollerblading of the sea and a public act of homosexuality.

stop bitching, you are all as gay as each other.

Not the KITE its the RIDER

After looking at that pic above, i would have to agree. There are a lot of people that are making this sport gay. It may be true, that his cabrinah is stuck in a tree though

Seems to be region dependent.
Over in Vic it's all the Cab riders wearing helmets with seat harnesses and reel leashes.

who cares what anyone wears ? if they need a helmet to feel safe good on them for having the guts to wear one and not be a sheep following the too cool crowd...

Somebody told me anyone riding a kite with a bridal is a kook completely unsure of their kiting ability.

Is that someone who arrives at their wedding by kite? Or just someone who kites with their wife?

^^ Funnnnyyyyyy

Personally, I find the whole thread a bit strange as I've only heard people bagging Airush (but maybe that's because Airush is all I ride ?).

Certainly have to give kudos to cabrinha for their boards though

We dont have to see you in your mankini do we! It could be worse though i could kite in mine.

Dead right about helmets though, if you feel safer wearing one go for it this is a fairly dangerous sport i lost count of how many times my board came flying past my head trying to learn some tricks doesnt happen now to often with boots.

Jesus, what's wrong with you guys?

There we were having a rational debate about the merits of Cabrinha kites and the assumed experience of the riders and there you go..... obsessing about your attire.

Next it will be what heels you wear, nail extensions and all over body scrub brands.

YOU LOT SOUND LIKE MY MISSUS & HER MATES!!!

By the crap that has been discussed in this thread. It would seem that the latest "cool" kite is the biggest POS you can find. It seems s%#t flying kites that have tendencies to tear in half make you hardcore and everyone else soft.

Cabrinha bashing. Awesome! I bought a Cabrinha to learn on and it kept falling out of the sky. I could not manage to put on my board. Now I've got a Slingshot and guess what, within no time I had my board on my feet! It's so easy to keep in the air. Ups, I still need to sell my stupid Cabrinha..

I am interested in the cause and effect thing happening here, was the kite on the news this morning that took down power in Melbourne a Cab? Apparently the kiter only suffered an ankle injury - which the medics commented that this horrific injury could have been prevented if the kiter had been wearing ankle warmers.
