How slack are you guys bagging Alex.
He is a great bloke, that is always the first to help out in any situation. He taught me how to kitesurf about 6 years ago for virtually nothing. I felt like I owed him something so I tried to buy kites from him and he always told me to go see Steve at Kitepower. I find it extremelly intolerant and pathetic that Steve is organizing a witch hunt to blame the banning of kitesurfing on one person. Alex did a lot for Kitepower in its infancy for next to nothing (he even had advertising on his truck for kitepower which travelled up & down the East coast of Australia). I will agree with everyone that he is different and he loves the ladies. If you ask anyone that does not kite surf they see us all as weirdos, and 'not towing the line'.
Cheers
G'day Tony
You would be ding your self a service to speak to some people in locations about the bans and poor relations with local council, and about the crazy, irresponsible, attention seeking behaviour.
No-one at Kitepower is organising a witchunt, each to their own, but when someone start jumping kids with a kite at Wanda, rides on the bitumen carpark at Wanda, hassling women at Wanda, then locals needs to get concerned.
You are a local, imagine turning up down there for a quick surf session on your blade and find that you are not allowed to do it anymore, becuse one person screwed it up for you?
Are you going to stand around and let that happen?
There are a lot of fairly tales about what Alex did for Kitepower, however in reality it was always the other way round Tony. If you are his mate, then go have a chat with him, put some pressure on him to tow the line in our local area.
