POT-KETTLE-too funny, funnier than a 7m going off in 15knots due to your experience.......LOFL,LOL
are you serious when you post, on drugs, or just a knob???
Drugs ???
A 7m bow is good for me in 15 knots and waves.
You seem sceptical, Dave ?
You mustn't fly bows, hey ?
It's all about the projected area and technique.
Felix uses a similar size kite or smaller for the same windspeed.

Wow I didnt expect a post like that to generate such reaction, and no slave I'm not on an ego trip saying 'look I got what you didn't'.
I just thought I'd share with everyone an obscure spot that is definitely the place to be on the rare day that it actually works, for those new to the sport or who have never been there. It's hardly a secret spot, just one of those unique spots that occasionally has it's day, that deserves to be publicised occasionally, or it might slip completely off the radar.
I dont think crowds are going to be an issue, as you say yourself you go home after the wind exceeds 25kts..
On a similar vein, and this time right in my own back yard, the Cables artificial reef fired on Sunday evening, with a crosshore northerly, a 4m swell and a low tide. A handful of the local crew were on it and it was probably ......at least for that couple of hours......... the only place to be, but you wouldn't be holding breath waiting for those conditions to happen again, but you will file that one away somewhere so that when it does you will be on it.
On of the great pleasures of winter surfing [and now kiting] is constantly watching the changing conditions and your brain computing all the variables that can make a fickle, local, seldom ridden spot fire, and the flashbulb going off in the head......'you know I think that spot might just be firing'........ and then coming to the top of the beach and seeing that you were right....and the knowing nod you get from the couple of other guys who turn up too ..... the 'yes you were thinking what I was thinking' nod.
Yes there is an almost indefinable satisfaction in that and to call it 'egotism' means that slavey, you are sadly completly missing the point.
