On a similar vein, and this time right in my own back yard, the Cables artificial reef fired on Sunday evening, with a crosshore northerly, a 4m swell and a low tide. A handful of the local crew were on it and it was probably ......at least for that couple of hours......... the only place to be, but you wouldn't be holding breath waiting for those conditions to happen again, but you will file that one away somewhere so that when it does you will be on it.

On of the great pleasures of winter surfing [and now kiting] is constantly watching the changing conditions and your brain computing all the variables that can make a fickle, local, seldom ridden spot fire, and the flashbulb going off in the head......'you know I think that spot might just be firing'........ and then coming to the top of the beach and seeing that you were right....and the knowing nod you get from the couple of other guys who turn up too ..... the 'yes you were thinking what I was thinking' nod.

Yes there is an almost indefinable satisfaction in that and to call it 'egotism' means that slavey, you are sadly completly missing the point.

Tell you what though, I've well and truly tested the durability of 2 brands in the last 2 weeks. I'm purchasing 2 OR rises over the Havocs, Very hard to split the two. It all came down to the rise having just the right bar pressure for me. I believe you enjoyed the rise KB, I was surprised in the power I was getting from the 8m yesterday. I played around with the settings to, it really is 2 kites in the 1.

I was so impressed with your spelling and explanation, then I noticed an L missing in Tonsillitis and no capital at the start.[}:)]

yeah the rise is an insane kite i liked it a lot and spelling has improved since i found this button at the top of my screen that does it for me
