OK.
Guys, after reading all this I say:
The colour of your lines has to mach the shape of your board which has to mach the pressure you inflate the leading edge of your kite.
The positions of your board fins have to mach the size of you control bar and don’t forget the wettie has to have the front and back the same colour of your eyes!
And when it comes to boardie, here there is the question: to wear or not to wear them, over the wettie or under the wettie, with boxer shorts under or with boxer shorts over and this can go on and on and on….
What on earth it is happening with you guys? We can’t enjoy the sport without fashion? OK, tell me I’m an oldie, but I will always enjoy a good kitesurfing session, and the only think I will look on the beach will be … you know what? , like a swimwear presentation (especially bikinis)!!!!
Gee, I can’t believe I waist so much space and time on this subject!!
The wind looks good out there for today so I better go and prepare my boardies…Ha, Ha, Ha.

Quite clearly, any male that is fussed about how another wears their boardies is a latent homosexual!

I still believe somehow it came from dinghy sailing, as we where boardies and rashies over wetties in a very practical sense. Boardies-so the wetty doesnt get worn out and ripped on the deck and cleats and such. Rashies are usually worn over our lifejackets to prevent them getting caught on the boom. As to why anyone else does it, who caresJust quit the b****ing and get out on the water,
This week looks wiked,
Enjoy

Don't wear them myself but if any of the crew who I'm nursing through the early stages of learning kiting come up to me complaining of ball slap I recommend throwing some boardies on for a few weeks. They cop it because they are going big but are worried about landing so kick the board off. As they instinctively put the feet out slightly spread they will often cop a hiding where it hurts. The lower crotch on a pair of boardies really takes the sting out of it. After learning to nail their landings none of them so far have gone on to wear them as a permanent fashion statement. I'm sure they think of them as training wheels (or a diaper) and are glad to hang them up. If they don't they often get a little encouragement around here to do so :)
