yet another bogan invasion of nobbys and the foreshore area today in Newcastle , topping off a 3 day music takeover of the area (and the parking)both making access to the beach virtually impossible .Whats wrong with the showground for bogan pride and music fests ?
Its bad enough every weekend having to negotiate the crawl of plastic and chrome buzz boxes lapping around foreshore drive and the people who sit in the gutters drinking alcopops, leaving their **** all over the place ,oogling at the tinnie overdressed cars that go chsshhh and can have their shockies go up and down and park flat on the road (incredible technology)
Is it so that people can go for a dip after they've marvelled about the beautiful design of a semi trailer ?I think not .look at the beach .Deserted (it is a bit overcast today ) 'I'm sure the clubbies and families and wedding parties that want to go to THE BEACH are a bit put off too!!

With out trying to sound too much like a silver tail, you should see Manly on a nice weekend. Far out is they only thing that comes to mind.

Never understood wearing jean over boardies over boxers in different stages of falling down off your a$$. Each to their own I guess, must be like wearing your boardies over your wettie .

mmmmmmmmmm they're probably thinking same thing about you floaty, so much for social tolerance, good to see you think you have sole rights to the beach. To quote floyd, "there's one in the spotlightlight, he dont look right to me, get him up against the wall", worked for Hitler, intolerance sucks, grow up [}:)]

"mmmmmmmmmm they're probably thinking same thing about you floaty, "

me thinks not .Speaking to a number of people who like to go to THE BEACH they are pretty sick and tired of this area being pretty well off limits to people who want to go to THE BEACH on many weekends now . My point is that there are perfectly good areas in this city that are well designed for these functions and rarely get used .WHY THE **** do they have to be where people want to go to THE BEACH and the surrounding parklands . Perhaps you should find some tolerance for people expressing their views on these matters . I have sent my thoughts onto the council of course and i know that alot of other people have too and hopefully the area can return to an area that ALL members of the public can enjoy without having big chunks of it shut down on a pretty regular basis for functions that have nothing to do with THE BEACH and would be more appropriately housed in areas that are designed for it .

I am not having a go at BOGANS or people who like to go to concerts (I am a bogan from the bush and love to go to concerts ) but WTF do they have to have their BOGAN festivals at THE BEACH when the festival has nothing to do with THE BEACH ,they don't use it when they are at the festival and the majority of the people who do use it as A BEACH AND PARKLAND are shut out .

IM not a ****IN NAZI , by saying this. unfortuately due to the political correctness police like you, alot of people just mumble under their breath about this kind of **** and hold a deep seated resentment yet say and do nothing .

same goes for intolerance to other beach users. Like beginners and instructors, and boardies over wetsuits.!

surfer62,

i had much the same experience last weekend in rosebud when a bunch of beer drinking bogans arrived at our local pitch to play football.. heard many "lets play loud music and they go away" comments..girls in soccer outfits and shorts made me think...............lets not upset the locals..drove down to rye for no wind there either...

however, had ther been wind and much attitude from socceroos (shorts and all) there may have been words.....

isnt the beach for everyone? I always stay away from beach users because i am generally useless with said kite when faceplanting into the water after a failed transition...entertainment for the beach sitters.

thugs in mobiles....no time fer um....let them sparkly tires down and drive past in a nice holden calais fitted in a lot louder system than they have playing beethoven!

ltr dooods (dontya hate 40yr old blokes using that word?.....and yes i am 40 officialy)

Of course all this fails to compare to blocking off the Harbor bridge and west link for a bunch of runners to hit the pavement, send them to olympic park to run laps, 2 billion for a concrete jungle for a one off 2 week showstopper we called the Olympics, start using it instead of main arterial roads in Sydney.

This includes the pope and that BS few months ago!

Um, OK He was complaining about the fact that they intrude on his experience of the beach and that of others as well, and from what he has said it is the bogans have 'claimed sole rights to the beach.'

Sorry mate, social tolerance shouldn't have to extend so far as to putting up with morons littering and playing music at 180db with 4 sub-woofers, it's like they TRY to annoy people as much as possible.

At what point do you draw the line???

Surfer 62 - I think you should let those whom live there and use the beach pass judgment before you decide to criticize them and their statements!?

But being opinionated in this world gets you far

So are u from Qld or Vic!?

Cronulla's pretty quiet these days, not too many bogans, but I wouldn't recommend how that come to pass.

yer could possibly see that happening again in some shape...

I think its bloody annoying and stupid how they zoom around in there fully sik WRX.. they make un-necessary noise, dont look socially acceptable and just generally try to own the place.. You carnt even look at some of them without them wanting to start a fight.

Then again.. were pretty safe at narrabeen.. LOCALISM dominates

(Disclaimer)
Im not saying i am one of those people that participates in brutal physical local protection.

Jeezzzz

A full on, unmoderated, Seabreeze punch up and I forgot me popcorn

What I don't get about Bogans (and maybe someone can enlighten me) is why their turbo charged second mortgages all have to look like they are made out of the cheapest plastic injection mould? Also, why are they all coated in vomit inducing shades of green and canary yellow?

It is also somewhat bemusing to me (disclaimer, I am English) why they have to make that silly farting noise every time they cruise along the strip, dodging the speed humps. Can someone tell me if I am supposed to be impressed as I can hardly restrain my mirth every time I hear it.

Right, off to kite the Bogan infested regions of Coastal Victoria

Yay, finally they get caught!

As for the boganism thread, I agree from a little in column A and a little in column B.

Remember, inciting hate only increases the hate

But hey I don't have to live in a city, so I may be naive!

Teach them to kite or windsurf, and then they'll spend their car money on that, thus changing a problem into a solution (apart from less water space) - you guys really need to invent a space saving (when deployed) kiting arrangement - goodluck
