good work , Jimmi sounds like a good block to have around !!!
One the very best and that is a very short list!
Fun of the fair
So we are over in what we call "the Orphans Corner" where all the uncool kids are away from the main show as clearly we do not have enough external varnish to be a cool kid.
But the people who want to see us hunt us out.
Some amazing people have tracked us down including Lindsay Buckmaster who riddled up and quietly said "I lofted that boat"
So amazing chat there given the shape of the boat.
I will post some more later
Great pics. Sepia colour, erase life jackets and it's another era.
Couldn't agree more BB! Lydia, it's a shame they cant have all the boats tied up beam on to the dock, I know there isn't enough room but still..
Looks like a balancing act that gantry! Hope you're enjoying yourself down there, Defiance looks so good..
Here you go!
They put you right next to friends of mine, Sean and Chris on Lonely, Nice people!
and Lindsay is a great old Shipwright too
Thanks having dinner in battery point right now
looks like we are stuck here tomorrow given the weather
shame really!
Pleasure to finally meet you mate, we must of talked on the phone for 4 hours over the years!!
Boat is gorgeous and even better to gave a custodian with such passion for her!
Don't think Phil will ever stop telling Defiance stories though;)
For those thinking about cruising Tasmania here is pic from in the Channel yesterday.

Done and dusted, mission accomplished, Wooden Boat Festival over and safe in the berth at RYCT until we move it down the Channel.

Hey, give us a bell if you need a hand with the trip
The Defiance restoration was never just about restoring a boat but the long term plan was always for it to be used short handed cruising and fun racing in the Channel
yesterday I delivered from RYCT to Port Huon in a 20 to 25 northerly just by myself
sure I could have got a faster more modern boat but so far it is right tool for the job
great to see you using her and thanks so much for the chance to work on such a well constructed and worthwhile boat to bring back to the fleet hopefully good for another 50 years
I hope to get a sail on her sometime with you
