I've been riding the 800 alot lately & wasn't a fan at first but definitely like it more than the 1000 in shoulder + high waves and I'm pumping it really well . Tell me some more on that custom mast , would love to see how it compares to the Cab. We did some big wake foiling on the weekend behind a Super Yacht and rode 3 wings . The Cab 1000 , Axis 899 ,1099 & Takuma 1095 . We had to pick 2 and the Takuma & 1099 got the cut just didn't turn as smooth as the other two in the wake and prop wash . Here is a clip of the video.

Most times i Ride Like a drunken rider ?????,i must place my Wight 100 %. My question ist how Bad is the Alu Rigg for the exelend plane. I am riding normaly Axis Gear on Alu mast. I can change from Axis 999 ,PNG 850 to PNG 1300 whitout any control problems.I have had a 95 cm Axis Carbon Mast and there was exact the same problem spezial with the PNG 1300 it was unrideable??

The majority of current carbon masts in the market are very expensive noodles. If the cab alu mast does not work, I would advise going for a cedrus (draggy) or nolimitz (expensive), or getting a proper racing carbon mast (preferably cheaper if out of fashion) and repurpose it by cutting the existing fuse connection and molding an epoxy/carbon adaptor for cab wings.

I heard no limitz is working on a cabrinha mast.

but for you size I would go with Cedrus or as you said alu cab an you will see and it feels.

Can you tell us more about cab 800 and 1000 vs Kujira ?

Well in short the H1000 takes the win for me. It surfs better than the kujiras 1210/1095, pump/glide is slightly harder, stall speed excellent (~1210). Current podium in powerful waves (knee to chest high) is H1000 1st, 1095 2nd, 1210/980 3rd.

The 1210 was originally my favorite as it can be pumped for so long, 10-20min runs in the surf. Its limitation is that it builds a lot of front foot pressure through the turn and locks in roll at max speed, so a roundhouse usually ends up straight to mitigate the problem. It likes to be ridden in flat turns, or quick snaps that don't build too much speed. The 980 is a benchmark for carving, I use it whenever little pumping is required, but front foot pressure buildup is very present at max speed.

The 1095 came out and I was instantly hooked, amazing glide at speed and super quick roll, better breaching ability. It has less front foot pressure than 1210, especially with a 1 degree shim on the 178 tail back bolt. But when it goes full speed on a powerful wave, you quickly feel overspanned and a squirrely behavior.

The H1000, coming from the 1095, feels a bit slow and draggy, pumping not as good but okay, lower stall speed is appreciated. Coming down a wave full speed, foot pressure stays the same, and the roll is not locked. The turning is unlocked by driving through the turn with the back foot, just like surfing! A big arc accelerating stays manageable all the way, the top speed is very comfortable. Turning feel is super smooth and breaching is next level.
Limitations?
- Above chest/head high, it's begging for the lower size foil.
- In gutless knee high waves a kujira does the job better.
- Stock tail is a bit locked in roll and non adjustable, custom solution prefered (@foilparts adapter)
- Stock masts are not very rigid, custom solution prefered (custom racing mast adapted to cabrinha connection)
- Tradeoff of glide compared to kujiras

My H800 is cracked and flexing at the wing-fuse connection, not really usable now with the weird flex, I have contacted the warranty. It feels much faster and looser in roll, but quite demanding to pump around, high stall speed. Keen to spend more time on it too see if one gets used to it.

Great info foilstate , the Cabs sound good except for flexy mast , cracking wings and no tail adjustments..V1 is always a bit of a risk.

Still haven't got my 650 yet but it's only days away . I did borrow Adams for the weekend and we towed on it , it was epic . We have had the best run of swell I definitely would have proned it a few days if I had one . I'm pretty well just riding the the 800 these days . The 650 definitely out surfs the the Axis 799 , but the Axis is much easier to pump but slightly larger surface area 730cm , just to give a comparison.

Yeah I'm all over the tails . I've been using the Kujira 178 & new cloud 9 Tail , would love to try the Kujira 158 but can't get it . That's the one Adam Bennetts used on the Cab 1000 for his 1 hour 7 min ride in waves ( probably world record)

I have also chopped my Cab tail as per this drawing Keahi sent me but I'm at 13.5" not quiet as short as the drawing. After trying everything I'm probably more consistent on my chopped Cab tail , however I do pump slightly better on the 178 & Cloud. I also just mainly the 800 now and not 1000 and I've been riding some pretty steep waves so prefer a sleeker tail. Adam does put a +1 wedge in the 158 so will be interesting to try that when it comes through as I find the 178 a bit big for me. Next on my list to try is a Uni/Sig race tail cut to 13.5" then to 13" . I also have Modded the Axis 350 p to fit as an under mount tail , this thing has so much lift and pumps amazing but it soon gets too big with too much lift. I generally run all my tails no shims.

Has anyone had a chance to try the No Limitz 93cm mast with the H1000 or H800 for wing foiling?

I'm looking for longer mast options for speed and a bit of racing on my wing. Until now, I've been limited to using the 70cm carbon mast from Cabrinha but an 80cm mast is now shipping to me.

As a windsurf / windfoil slalom racer (where 95cm masts are standard), I'm pretty sure a 95-ish cm (or longer) will be advantageous for speed on the wing so interested in any feedback from people who have tried the 93cm No Limitz.

I currently have the H1200 and H1000 but I intend to get the H800 soon. After a few sessions using the H1000, I don't feel I need the H1200 any longer as I'm only 77kg and can get the H1000 going in light winds.

Adam doesn't have a No Limitz to suit his Cab yet but chatting to him this morning it should arrive this week . I've got a 80 & 85 No Limitz on order but won't have until August . My 1200 just collects dust never gets used . The 800 I pretty well use for everything and the 1000 I can use in the lightest wind just no need for the 1200. The 650 I bought for towing , which is insane & now I prone it occasionally , plus I plan to ding it in Fiji next month. I'll probably sell my H1200 front wing in the near future. After recently getting the H1000 and realising how little wind I can get it going in (I'm only 77kg), I can't see me needing to keep the H1200.

Once I have the H800, I expect that will be my goto front wing and the H1000 will be for light to middling winds. Maybe in the future I'll also feel the 650 is useful in my quiver.

I'll be very interested to read what Adam says about the No Limitz mast with the H-series.

I have been wondering why they choose this shape for their alloy mast? My guess was that being narrow like other 15mm masts it would be faster with similar stiffness to the axis 19mm. Does it feel fast? Sounds like the longer cord has to many downsides?

What are the chord and thickness of the Cabrina alloy mast?
It looks like it that the chord of the Cabrina alloy mast is almost double the chord of the carbon masts close to the fuselage....
Would the Cedrus mast be any good with the the Fusion H foils or would it kill the glide?

Yeah compared to the carbon mast there is heaps more drag plus it tends to lay over and get stuck in turns .
