I got my Cedrus adapter yesterday and tried the H1200 today in light 5m wing conditions with no waves and some slow swell.

I demoed the Cab1200 with the 82 carbon mast for 2 weeks before I bought the 1200 and the 1000.
I really love the more direct, stable and precise feel of the Cedrus, but a bit of the magic that made me love the H1200 while I was demoing it with the Cab mast was for a bit gone.
The Cab carbon Cab 82 mast is for my 94kg too soft and flexy in the chop, but it has compared to the Cedrus significant less drag giving and more glide. Somehow the flex isnt a problem in the turns and allowed me to load the mast up like you can do with a fin.

I,m not sure what trade of I wanna make: Slightly more drag/little less glide for more precise and control feel the Cedrus offers (and wanna keep because I have Takuma,s and Sab foils as well I use it with) or sell a kidney and chip in another 1000,-euros to wing with a noodle that has less drag.
Luckily the masts seems to be sold out so I don,t have to/can,t make that decision today.In a perfect world I would buy a mast close in stiffness to the Cedrus and the thin diameter of the Cabrinha mast, but so far hat seems something to dream about.@Camarillo:
The H1200 is still quicker up the foil as my Kujira1210, but the difference with the Cedrus is less big as with the carbon Cab mast and so is the glide difference. I Had a few runs on sombody else set with an Cedrus and the Kujira1440. The 1440 is quicker up to the foil but slightly slower, slower turning and feels huge.
The 1210 and CabH1200 is at least on par in turning with the the Kuj1210 and for me the benefit of the doubt goes to the H1200.

Yep I am using this adapter, its great, although the H180 tail also works great. You can run any tail and choose the fuse length between 3 positions. Apparently the H180 tail has 1.5 degree angle built in (front bolt) so you can save quite a lot of drag and glide by reducing some of that shimming. I have been using the 178 tail with the same fuse length, 0 degree for max perf winging or 0.5/1 degree (front bolt) for proning in smaller stuff where you need a bit more front foot pressure.
Adam told me he uses the 158 tail, 0 degree shim.

Is it worth getting it vs the cabrinha fus (the one with holes) ?

Just curious if others would characterize the H800 as back foot heavy or if its a tuning issue for me? I had my first session winging on the setup (Takuma 178 tail, 1 degree shim adding lift, foilparts adapter middle setting) yesterday in some pretty challenging conditions. I played around with mast placement a bit, but definitely need to do some more tweaking with shims and position. Even with the mast all the way forward and the tail shim I was still really having to bias my stance/weighting to the back foot.

Coming from Takuma (which I know is generally front heavy) I found it to be a very big adjustment.

Who is using the H800 for winging?
The smallest wing I have ever used for winging is the Kujira 980 and I only use it in 22+ knots and the H800 is quite a bit smaller in surface (800 vs 980) but the wingspan is bigger (900 vs 800) resulting in a bigger AR (9.9 vs 6.5)
And how does the H800 compare to the Axis ART 899? These two wings are quite similar in specs: wingspan 900 vs 899 , surface 800 vs 850 , AR 9.9 vs 9.6?
Some people report that the Art 899 is quite difficult in rough seas and that is what I have to deal with when it gets real windy.

The 800 has a much lower stall speed than the 899 plus overall it's just more user friendly, no mystery drops and handles a higher top speed . The 899 is at its best dead downwind but again the 800 does that better as well . In my opinion the HPS range is way better than ART's

The 700 plus you could go up to the 830 . We still tow on a chopped 799 down to around 750 but not many wing it or prone it ( mainly smaller riders ) The 830 is really popular with the serious wing crew here .

Shimming the stab. On cab the stab is above and on foilparts the stab is below the fuselage, that is why it is front bolt shimming on foilparts stab to match the angle. Posting for people potentially struggling with their adapter.. it's a bit messy at the moment

It will be nice if they come out with a carbon adapter, this current one is like a lead weight. I'm personally not a fan of it, If anyone wants one I have one going cheap, only used it a handful of times, welcome to try before you buy, if your in the northen nsw area

I just chopped and flipped the carbon adapter as well , pretty easy to do. You can also just fit a spacer and run the Uni tails on top as well if you don't wont to chop.

Mistake in the measurement, it's 73mm instead of 173mm, so 2 degrees! Will test things out in the water and report back.

just put it on the drop saw cut it square . Flipped it then epoxy glued with a small timer dowel , let that dry then keyed in a V all way round with a grinder and built up with carbon on all four sides .

Mine turn up Friday I'm 88 kg will let you know.

Finally got a 158 Kujira rear wing . Still incredibly hard to get & I paid dearly though 400 bucks Aus from Unhooked water sports in Wollongong, but this is what the new Kujira gear cost , it's crazy expensive. Plus I didn't even get a cover for it. Props to Ben though he express posted it I had had it next day on the Gold Coast .

So does it live up to the hype ... Hell yeah it's sick . I ran it on my 800 , NL 78 & chopped flipped rear fuse . Only had time for one wave before work and when I got to the Ally it was well over head high and racing , so I chipped in on a small one rolled off and pumped out to a set. The pump speed out was amazing you wouldn't think you would get that from such a small tail . The wave face just stood up and I had to race the peak for 100's of metres . I was lit the whole way & if I had a bigger tail on I 100% would have blown out . This thing stuck like sh!t to blanket . It was one of the biggest & steepest/longest wave faces I've ridden that I have paddled in on. If I could have got off for another connect it would have easily been a 1.5km ride but it eventually shut down on me , cannot believe I made it so far. So yes we'll worth the 400 bucks .

No same mast but there is new stiffer mast with new wings early 2023.
