Yer Casso,
I was 4th, name of the game is to surf waves and unfortunately could find any in the final, she was pretty slim pickings and Mags had the knack of sniffing out the best ones.

Good to see some youth coming up to join us old blokes.

Cant wait to get in some juice on my new stick, she is a real ripper you could say!

thanks goatman.

Im new to the comp scene, been SUPin for a while tho.

SUP in SA is a new thing and is comps.
I'll be heading over not only to compete but to help broaden and make SA sup a better allround sport.

Iam not sure what Olivers go is, maybe its been flat at his beach.
Hopefully he wont be at the comp, because if he is an example of East coast SUPers i dunno if im keen to go.

Thanks again for those that helped.
cheers

(sorry for wasting peoples cyber paper)

Don't worry about me, Joyrider. I'm pretty well known for saying what I think from the comfort of my computer - In hindsight I was probably in a bit of a filthy mood last night and feel a tad sorry about it now. You sound like a nice guy and hope you do well in this 2011 Nationals and push SA Sup, win a trophy, or one of those little ribbons to hang on your mirror, car ariel, whatever.

I'm a crappy surfer compared to many of the others here - but, I've improved heaps and I enjoy it, so I guess that's what's important.

to be honest oliver, iam not all that interested in competing either.
im simply doing it to meet some east coast crew, get some ideas for the crew in SA and have a surf with others stoked on SUPn.

If you feel the need to get all grumpy and uptight, then that's your deal, but i thought the reason we all started SUPn was to escape this kind of bull**** ya get from other kinds of surfers.

Loosen up chief or dont bother at all.

Believe it or not. I've got a few other issues in my life other than what the lineup looks like, or what other ratbags think, who sit on this forum and press refresh, waiting to stick the boot in - it would be great if life was that simple.

I'm glad your life is that simple.

Hey joyrider sup in SA isn't all that new. To make it a better all round sport certain shops need to sell some high performance boards rather than just pusing 10 foot lake cruisers. just my opinion.

^^^ Thanks bud, I pretty much like everyone on here, even the ratbags who sit here and press refresh, and feel bad when I offend people, well most of them anyway. I don't have a problem in backing down and apologizing when I do. I think we have a pretty good community here and enjoy reading and contributing my thoughts.

So if this is the SA team do any other states have their teams finalised yet? How is the WA team selected as far as I am aware there aren't any state titles or even club competitions to choose from.
