CMC there is that large brush again.

(As mentioned, I was referring to the post regarding mass produced boards. I have seen the foam they use in China and I guarantee that your 1% example (which is great to know also, thanks) would not pass on this stuff.

You use good foam obviously, your boards look well made.

If I could summarize what I was trying to get at perhaps was that you best buying boards from quality manufacturers. If you are one, I was not talking about you.)

Specifically the reference to China, are Jimmy lewis boards made in China? are Angulo boards made in China, are any of the rest of the USA or EU brands of boards made in China.
According to you if they are then they are made with an inferior EPS foam.

Perhaps when you were over there you should have asked to see some premium constructed boards, designed by people who know what they what, and ask for pre expanded EPS bead and get it for their boards, which are then CNC milled or hand shaped from PRESSURE moulde block foam.

Yep thats right CMC all EPS foam is pressure moulded, that what the moulds are for , containg the pressure of the expanding bead.

Actually too much pressure stops the exspansion of the bead. So only a required amount of pressure is needed too much is detrimental and it is the same for the small surfboard moulds that you are talking about and the large block moulds that 99.99% of SUP boards are made from all over the world.

The argument below is a practice in semantics.

So are your moulded blanks made from pre expanded EPS foam Beads, if they are not you are using old inferior technology for your EPS foam production.

Are your blanks made using the vacuum infusion method used for my block foam?
If they are not then you are using old inferior technology.

This is so far off topic that I agree with Poodle.

But really guys and gals CMC needed to be rebutted.
I doubt the actual manufacturer of his foam would be at all pleased whith some of his statements

If you are one . I find that part of his statement totally demeaning.

Got to stop loosing oit

IMO board bags do alot more good than they do bad.. I often tell people to leave them slightly unzipped because they can be like a foil wrapped potatoe and cook a board is left in the sun in a windless location.. I've used board bags for years and never had one issue.

Naish stuffed up with their early bags (years ago) because they had the silver reflctive side on the wrong side.. Because in Hawaii they like to transport their boards fin down.. Maybe they should have had a fin slot on both sides..
