hey casso, how is going from the smaller boards to the psh 12 fter?

Surprisingly OK.

The 12'0" Gun is a similar shape to my 9'3" Ripper - just streeeeetched out a lot. Obviously the Gun is a lot tighter but I was doing similar turns as what I can do on my Ripper, albeit a lot more drawn out, slower and less critical.

I fell off a few times when I was expecting it to pull around back under my feet but it just kept going straight. It was my first surf on it though so overall, a pretty easy transition.

ok, just one more question. can it feed the turn from the mid rail or is it more kinda back foot style?

Hey guys... Just remember... This board is 12' long. It turns unreal for a 12 footer BUT it is still 12' long!

You HAVE TO put some ooomph into your back foot to crank this thing around in small waves. Enjoy!

Here's some footage of the maiden voyage. Sorry it's so long but the waves were long and I wanted to show how well the board can stay on these little runners. Notice the glide, even when the wave isn't breaking.

That's classic Casso. How's all the 'party' waves, kids on mals, SUPs everywhere. She turns alright.

Hey just had a wild surf out the bower almost by myself, some double over head choppy monsters. Heaps of current, 3 foot high chop, woulda been a good test of the old 12 footer. Was pretty tricky on the 9 3.

Hey Casso,

Ya just had to go and do it lol!

I have no organs left to sell on the black market and no long boards left!

Looks like my beloved 10'6 Wide AA will have to be recycled into a 12fter after that little look.

I have 20 kegs more than you to motivate that sucker ( More the Austin Class Surfer ) and boy that will make it sooooo much fun!

I know all the current ones are sold when is the next shipment AA?

Wiping droool from keyboard and imaging certains spots he could paddle to on that board with only 1 or 2 out WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

PS Please tell me it comes in PSH RED or GREEN so it looks the same as my other boards so the War Office wont notice I have a new board!

Can you get divorced twice????

WOW!

Just had one of the FUNNEST sessions in one of the best NOVELTY waves I have ridden in a long time. With 6m seas and 3 knot winds there are not many places you could get a wave in Sydney today.

Everyone was out - CASSO, GOATMAN, LOCOs, MESSUP, TOM.C, BRUCE RAYMOND among up to 20 others in long walling 1-3' faces. 200m rides were on hand - loving life!

I guess you could call it the inaugural gathering of the SYNDEY PADDLE SURFING CLUB.

It wasn't a powerful wave - you could get 2-3 people all riding together 10 meters apart - just a fun wave basically! Waikiki style!

The 12' GUN was the perfect board as the line length really helped carry you through, but not enough juice to really test it. Suffice it to say the board turns as you would expect and has amazing glide. I'll let CASSO do the proper review.

Bruce Raymond is a SUP-ADDICT! After a month in the Mentawais he is straight back out there within a week!

AA - Was he still glued to his new 9'6 sub vec?

Classic photo-makes the 903 look like a mini me micro stick.

My wife said (about your wife noticing) "nah, she won't notice, women have a problem with depth deception....8 feet, 12 feet, i'ts all the same....."

Ok Time for a funny story after the "She Will Neva Notice"

Years ago I was a scuba diving junkie!

We went to Wilsons Prom every year on Melb Cup weekend!

The idea is you have to launch boats across the beach and then retrieve them the same way.

The wives usually back down the tow vehicles to help out.

This guy got his wife to back down his new Landrover Disco and she was backing it up to hook up the trailer and Darren was saying 10ft, 5ft, 3ft, 1ft 10 inches and Sally was hesitant to back up any further! Darren being Darren said come on back 10 inches, 8, 6 inches and then it happen. Without notice the Disco lurched back and punched the tow hitch through the tail gate. Darren went purple in the face and said for F#$@ sake i said 6 inches, 6 F@#%ing inches and went on and on and on.

Sally gets out of the Disco and walks to the back of the 4x4, by this time there is 100+ people standing around watching remember this is Cup Weekend at the prom!
Sally looks at Darren and says. Darling you never have been any good with distances or lengths you have been trying to convince me for 20 years that what you have between your legs is 6 inches and I am here to tell you it doesnt make it and walks back to the camp site.

The whole beach just erupted in laughter!

For the next 4 days people kept taking things up to Darren knives, tent pegs you name it and asked him do you think this is 6 inches PMSL till I cried!

He then decided to pack up and go home!

The moral is dont be a prick.

No, Bruce was on a 9'9 Slingblade from the looks of it. Bruce, and like Tom is a total addict. It certainly adds cred to the sport when legends like these two get hooked on it!
Always has a smile and happy to to talk Paddle Surfing all day long!

PS:Bruce is an ex pro-surfer and was a head Honcho at Quicky until he retired recently.
