These are his customs, but seems as though there is going to be some sub 9 foot popouts as well.

Narrower, thinner and 22 litres less volume than the 903, how do you think it would float, Casso - for your weight?

No probs. Plenty of spare meat in the 9'3" that I could cut out. Sure ... it'd be trickier to paddle/stand on, but get a 100L board on a wave - woo hoo.

Dunno - I asked Dale once but he never got around to calculating it. Probably about 105. And it's 8'8" for those who don't know with low, performance rails.

I wonder what a 'minimum' pop out run would be in China or Thailand? 500; 1,000 ; 2,000?

And then what would would the cost be? Divide by the one by the other, add transport and distribution costs, and a bit for the organiser, to get per unit costs.

Then maybe we could start a Seabreeze ANZAC non-profit collective to commission a run?

I am sure we all need a 10' x 29.8733435566" in our quiver? Maybe we could do it for $800 per board?

Then think of the argy bargy we could have on this forum about getting the design right.

On second thoughts, I think I'd rather just pay $1100 to a local shaper. Maybe the competitive market has something going for it after all.

Do you know if he uses AKU Shaper to do his boards? Or are they all hand jobs? The program's pretty good at giving you information, including volumes.

ahh, i think a cnc machine. doesn't readily give out litres. my 8 10 has a reduced tail and was totally thinned out, even more then casso's dales expert wiz man on the keyboard found the right buttons and it came in at 117 litres.as casso said shortboard nose, low rails, there isn't much room for going much less at my weight(78kg). it has a very small sweet spot, but the board's insane to surf.imo you can go down in volume if you have a bit more in the nose or tail or a both nose and tail area

I'm close to that weight (coupla' kilos lighter)-really like the look of Casso's 808-surprised yours came out at 117 if it's trimmed even more (although 'coupla' inches mate'). Looks like DC has a really good handle on the puffed up shortboard SUP board.

i assuming that number was right, but maybe it was the litres before reductions. when i look at the stock 8 10's getting done, they seem so big/thick compared to mine. funny most people who try the standard and mine like mine more. its a bit tricky, but less corky. i'm really keen to try the 8 10(105 l) and the 8 0(95l) naish boards when jacko gets them injavascript:parent.insertImages(' ')javascript:parent.insertImages(' ')

Got a 7'8" x 30 on the boil brooko Glassy small days only. Rode Camerons 7'6" the other day so its doable but a big of a struggle so It will need to be thick as to float me

Me too a likely NZ PSH board buyer....but suspect/hope Paul is being a bit of a drama queen about the balls kicking (mind you us kiwis do have the reputation for chopping off our sheeps' balls & whacking them on the barby) [}:)]

All I can say is, this whole NZ thing has turned out to be something a lot harder than everyone expected it to be. Some things go smoothly and some things are like pulling teeth. This has been a trip to the dentist for all involved... Hopefully clean happy teeth when we emerge.

Yes, we are working on placating the boys from NZ....

Up until now we (Aus.) have stayed out of it as we thought it had been settled to everyones satisfaction-

The only 9'6wAA in NZ was damaged (cosmetic, no cracks), in transit to Paul.

As there was no immediate replacement for him a 15% discount was offered, or
Bevan the NZ agent was going to personally bring a board over when he was there next.

As this was not agreeable a full refund was offered and accepted.

I am no sheep with my back turned, and I would not call this taking it in the clackers!

Sorry Paul a bit unfair when you cant respond!! We will be in touch!

Andrew.A

PS: Any NZ enquires from now on please PM me (once if possible)
