Cheers DJ .... Look forward to trying them both out. The wave at Bar Beach will be perfect for the 10' Mana!

I won't be to heavy for the 10' Mana .... I'm now 100kg!

Homeally paddled the 10' easily and has now got the 9'5" to see how he gets on with the smaller of the 2. I think he'll do it OK but he's at Dee Why this arvo and I'm pretty sure he'll have some news for the bigger boys tonight.

Sam.

Wasn't Homeally over the moon with his 10' Starboard Whopper?.. It will be interesting to hear what he thinks of the new Naish Mana..

Picking up my 10' Mana tomorrow (hopefully Aido will fit it in his car). Might have to plan a south coast trip soon to really break the boards in properly. That's if they haven't burnt away, aparently some serious fire were my parent inlaws caravan in at Ulladulla. Hope it's all good.

DJ, how about the glide of the Mana 10. Is it better in comparisson to the Nalu 11'4''?
Would you in general prefer the Mana 10 as you choice for all-round purposes?

If I was doing a long paddle up a river in glassy conditions I think I'd rather the 11'4".. It does paddle straighter.. less yaw and have better glide.

But in saying that I think the Mana would be a better all-round board.. It does yaw a little more with each stroke maybe due to the short fins but not much more.

I did a fairly long straight paddle on it from the Pines up to Sommers and it didn't feel any worse than most wave boards.. in fact better than most.

Yaw problems are easily fixed by putting in a 10' nose riding fin.

DJ Any idea what the 10' Mana weighs?

I'll get the bathroom scales out now and check it out for you..

A bigger center fin would help any yaw issues I'm sure.. but it wasn't that bad.

My scales say spot on 12kg and that's with deck grip and fins.. Not bad for a big board that's made pretty well bulletproof.

My old 11'4" was 11kg.. So a wide board does add some extra weight.. but it doesn't feel any heavier to carry.. I think the 10' Whopper is 14kg.

The new Naish logo is looking fancy.

Here's the board specs.. Yeah.. I couldn't just stop at one pic..

I want to buy the 10' Mana. Where can you buy one in Sydney, Wollongong or Newcastle?

Check out the 9'5". We got one last week and can not fault it. I am 94kg and it surfs very well. I think you have to try both before you part with the cash.

What is the deferents between the 10 and the 9,5??

Is it just in the glide?
what about in windy conditions, Is one better than the other?

I would say the 10' would have slightly more glide and it is an inch wider. You would be suprized by the glide the 9'5" has. You will also be pleasantly surprized by how it surfs.

Both would be good. It is a personal choice.

IMO.. you guys that are looking at the new Mana's should go for he 9'5" unless you're well over 100kgs.. or you want to paddle it with small kids onboard (like JB).

It's amazing how stable these boards are.. Both 9'5" and the 10'er are great boards.

If you're just into waves the 9'5" should be better.

If you want to use it as more of an allrounder and paddle flat water as well I think the 10'er would be a better choice.

Thanks guys!javascript:insertsmilie('')
My wife say that I/we can keep the 11,6 and the nsp 11. Not bad!
So I think I will go for the 9,5. but hope to do a demo first.

The 10' Mana, although it's 32" wide, isn't all that huge. I'm 95kg on a good day, and have no troubles surfing it, it's actually amazingly very nice to ride. And as you can see in the below pic, with my 10 kg kid on board there isn't a great deal of board still floating out of the water.

However I haven't had the chance to ride the 9'5" yet, but I have heard it is pretty amazing. I'm pretty sure Sam has surfed both back to back, give him a bell a Windsurf n Snow.
