Firstly Boston, fully agree, as you know. My boards have been exposed to mast strikes and before I ride a new board I always use hotmelt glue and some foam to protect it. Lastest advice is 1m x 1m x 20mm EVA foam floor mat from bunnings.

Seriously, you are deluding yourself by saying you can sink the nose, at top speed, by crashing your rigs mast onto the nose.
