Pff! Secret spots, your'e all kidding right?. You do realise that next step from that is we will have people at the said "secret spots" asking the question of a stranger on the beach...."how did you find this location, piss off your'e not local".
The mine, all mine!!

mentality breeds in such thinking, don't be selfish. If someone wants to go to the effort to get somewhere new and it's YOUR secret spot...then have a good hard look at yourself, because it just wasn't yours to begin with.
Aaron Hadlow's dad told me some very wise words when in Geraldton a few years back. He experienced a bit of the "secret spot" attitude and simply pointed out to me that if you go to all the "secret spots" around the world for surfing, you will find one common thing. "Lot's of Australians".
As far as advertising it goes via video.....
If we didn't have the selfish attitude I mentioned above and it was common knowlege about a certain secret spot of which I can't mention here for fear of reprisals from locals (yeah right! Oakajee!!!) , we wouldn't have last minute scrambling to try and tell everybody about it to save it from big industry cos' no-one knows it exists except a select few "locals". (none of which by the way were even born in the region let alone the closest town)
The world of kiters and windsurfers really isn't that big. The world which wants to make money from the same spots we call secret is far bigger and hungrier. I think there's no fear of hords of wind warriors rocking up at your local because they saw it on a vid and spoiling your buzz.
No such thing as a secret spot, I'm with Waveslave on this one. (gag!

did I say that?)
