I've always been very close to buying at auction - but i need a registered driver really soon. Auction yes if i could spent a couple of months making it noice. Or rego'd and dinged. But yeah Im following them.

So I completely ignored iLoad, then see so many for sale. One has 650,000km 😲 so are they actually OK if well serviced to avoid the black death? Should I consider one if its say 250,000km and had a turbo done and injectors not leaking...?

Shocked at Delica BTW. mid 90's models with 300,000+ km for $10-$15k. Faark.

Many NSW car yards will throw in transport. The bad news is that you can't transfer/renew registration unless you have a NSW licence. So the vehicle has to go over the pits in the new state. The inspector will find all manner of things wrong with the vehicle and offer to fix them quickly at great expense, and then pass the vehicle.

But why?

Definitely pondering but a lot of imports have spent a lot of time idling on a freeway in Japan so I need to think more
I do like that lots of parts are triton and Pajero so they’re easy enough to work on.

I’d rather have a true commercial tho, to avoid a lot of interior strip-out for racks n bed

They are getting ridiculously expensive, but some have only 40,000km... and they are a proper 4wd if that is useful for you.

WA taxpayers fork-out about $2.5 billion every year in their government debt interest payments. Just for context WA government spend on hospitals is about $1.5 billion per year. So perhaps you could spend your $100 on fuel to drive to a different hospital when the one you are sat outside has a 6 hour ambulance ramp (whilst grinning because WA government interest repayments are still lower than any other state).

All that is needed for free money is a WA driver's licence. So I'm happy to accept $100 from the GST-dodging Wait a While taxpayers.

Thus I like the SV deep hex footstrap screws as the driver can engage well and its same as the fin bolts and batten adjuster. Dunno why other manufacturers didn't do that also. However, never seen the need to change from PH1 . I like that everyone on the beach can help me... but at work of course I have all the drivers. Bondhus T-handle = nice

Aren't footstraps normally Ph3?

I ride a motorbike and am happy to accept the $100 payment funded by rANGER drivers. Free money. Does it get any better than that?!

Free money, I'm in.

It's like the free money I get from taxpayers who are paying for my solar panels.

People are sick of leftard BS from the guardian, ABC, channel 9,10,7,sbs the AFL the NRL, every newspaper, the conversation and MSN.

Btw your guardian article seems to be focusing on "negative attention" as much as every other platform.

I think the guardian and all other established msm platforms are feeling like their business models are under threat from podcasters and other independant journalists,

Listening to the guardian bleat about the algorithm like its some sort of biased overlord dragging people away is rubbish. The algorithm works the same way for the left as it does for right.

"Trust in science has collapsed — right? The evidence says that it’s not necessarily so. From a global perspective, public trust in science and scientists is high. Trust has dropped in certain groups, notably among Republican-leaning people in the United States. And research in the United Kingdom shows that the proportion of people who have “a lot” of trust in science tends to be lower among politically right-leaning groups than those on the left. In many countries, people are also increasingly questioning definitive evidence on divisive issues such as vaccines, partly because scientific information is being drowned out online."

"The rise of creator media has been a boon for those who peddle bull****, as bias and bull**** are core features of what wins our attention on social media.

It turns out that when you migrate our entire news media ecosystem on to platforms that map on to our emotional wiring, you are inadvertently building Karl’s podcast. To be successful in this attention economy, the platforms have decided that anger, outrage and controversy rules. That negative attention counts as much as positive engagement. That one must act like a cancelled free speech warrior, even when one may not be. In other words, it’s the algorithms, stupid."

Did you watch the podcast? Was everything he said lies or are there specific things your referring to.

Karl Stefanovic said after he left 9, he wanted to put people on his show and let the audience decide for themselves.

So have you watched it and decided, what parts made you say he is spreading lies.

Is that like, "Doing your own research"?

Spreading lies, grievances and misinformation is very much on the conservative agenda. Social media is facilitating that.

Despite all the hype about el nino, australia is having its wettest el nino year on record and the warmer temps are linked to a different climate influence, southern annular mode.

It is an El niño year, But it's only just begun.

"The latest relative Niño3.4 index value for the week ending 14 June 2026 is +0.92 °C, above the El Niño threshold (+0.80 °C). All models, including the Bureau's, forecast the tropical Pacific to continue warming in the coming months." - BOM

Yet the mouse plague that could decimate our agriculture is hardly news. Depends what the media push. The headline in the paper here was all about bird flu threat and implies Covid-like threat to humans cos they love to stir everyone up.

"Environment Minister Murray Watt said people should avoid contact with sick or dead birds." It is important to remember that at this point in time we only have two confirmed cases,” he said. “But we don’t underplay the threat that this poses to wildlife and our agriculture sector in Australia.” - Perth now.

I had a crap week compounded by missing out on the pre- release Freo tickets I was after. I think the general release is on Tuesday.

Interesting dual fleet format in Halifax. I grew up in shifty, light winds and love watching the crews negotiate these conditions. Brings back lots of memories racing Hobies and dinghies.

Here's an interesting look at the tech onboard.

I wonder if there are Vela Club tickets left. I got one through their bogus pre-sale promotion. Its a long way from NSW if you have one ticket.

Hey, Bono (oh bollocks, sorry dude, the old finger typing habits die hard))

Hey Meh -

You appear to be making an argument that in your opinion AI's (or the current version of AI) fundamental flaw is that it will inevitably descend into an endless feed-back loop of relying on it's own opinion to re-form it's own opinion, eventually spiraling into sprouting complete nonsense and madness .

......And to clarify your opinion on this you quoted your own previous opinion !

I don't seek to disagree with the feed-back loop proposition as a hypothesis - I just found it amusing you seemed to be relying on one thing to make an argument against the thing your are relying on to make it. I mean - when AI, or indeed any of us, try to project something as new and different, but it simply comprises the same old re-hashed content from the past it might appear new and exciting to others for a while, but eventually I think the collective will notice and realise worship of this new reincarnation is nothing more than a celebration of the emperor's new clothes.

eh ?

Eh? Intelligent design is not something AI can replicate.

Form... function... Fibonacci. The golden ratio explains all, even board vs fin size.
