A book about fishing in 'Kid Speak'
Calling the Sunshine Coast home for all her life, Hailey wanted to share her love of the pastime with other kids, and help teach them sustainable fishing techniques they can use to fish well into the future.
"Fishing is the best fun and I would love to help lots of kids get into it and care for our fish and the environment along the way," Hailey said in an interview with the local paper.
After looking for other books written in 'kids speak' about fishing, Hailey and her dad realized there wasn't any, so they did what any father/daughter fishing team would do. They got right to it.
