Are your kite lines worn?

WA Kiter Johnno Keys had a nasty coming together with the beach just recently.

Conditions were epic, a blustery SW from a cold front was creating 20-30 knots conditions.

About 5 metres from shore, one of JK's front lines snapped, which had the effect of totally powering up the kite and sending him 30 metres downwind and into the beach.

Fortunately, what was thought to be a broken shoulder turned out to be "only" a nasty dislocation.

"The lesson of the day, replace those old extension lines, that you know are just a little frayed."
