She used to be the up-and-comer female surfer of the Starboard SUP team, but a few years later, the still-in-her-teens Izzy Gomez is surfing with the best, this week in Tahiti. Shredding both a shortboard (without a paddle) and a point nosed Starboard SUP (with a paddle) against the charateristicly beautiful Tahitian backdrop, Izzy is more than sticking it to the guys out there! Picking up a shiney new sponsorship from Red Bull just a couple of weeks ago, Izzy is flying to the front pages of the worlds media with her new found wings, also helped along by her sponsors GoPro. With two of the planets biggest media companies behind her, Gomez is free to travel the globe in search of the perfect waves, with only an occasional stop in the fun to compete on the Stand Up World Tour.
