Fanatic Ripper Kidz Contest

A new contest for windsurfing's new blood.

Friday 31 October 2008 will see the debut of Fanatic's latest windsurf competition, the Fanatic Ripper Kidz Contest, in Hyeres, France. The competition is aimed at 8 - 14 year old windsurfers, spanning all abilities from beginner right the way through to advanced.

The event is based around the Fanatic ?Ripper' model board, which is aimed specifically at kids. Entrants will be given Ripper boards (5 models to choose from) and North Drive sails, which will be rigged and ready to go.

Emphasis is heavily in favour of having fun, but the comp will have a competitive element, as the sailors take part in an expression session judged by the best national and international Fanatic team riders (Victor Fernandez is expected). At the end of it all, the best rider will win a 1 year sponsorship deal with Fanatic and North Sails, in addition to receiving personal instruction by the Fanatic team riders.
