Hookipa Firing

Hookipa Firing

Kevin Pritchard gloats about monster waves and howling wind in windsurfing's world renowned, Hookipa Beach Park.

KP aerials off the lip yesterday

"Well it has been really windy here on Maui. Really windy!

Yesterday I was on a 4.5m, and fully powered UP! And today I was ripping about on a 4.7m. Now that is pretty windy for Maui. Guys at Kanaha were on 4.0m and 3.5m sails just blasting around, that's pretty epic.

Hookipa was really fun on the 4.7m day, not all that crowded, everyone having some fun. I got a little bit of video so might put it up on my blog. Hope you guys are having as much fun as I am getting ready for Winter time. Looks like we are going to have a BIG swell coming, but looks like no wind with it. It could be TOW IN time! Whooohoo, that could be scary!!"
